Went one better than on stable debut when sharing the spoils in a 7-runner handicap at Brighton (1¼m, good to firm) 7 days ago. Contrasting ground would be question mark, however, a 7-lb penalty doesn't look insurmountable on the best of her old form.
Ghost Story (IRE)
Drops into class 6 company for the first time since emphatically doubling her tally at Windsor (1¼m, soft) last summer. Continued her good run of recent form when close third (winner won since) at Kempton (11f) latest. Makes plenty of appeal, with the ground likely to be in her favour.
Meet Me In Meraki
C&D winner who chased home a subsequent winner at Ffos Las (1½m) last month. Best excused particularly headstrong display over the same C&D since and should make more impact with Pat Dobbs taking over here.
Stipulation (IRE)
Consistent performer who completed a double off 1 lb higher this time last year. Ran creditably when 1½-length second to a next-time-out winner over C&D (good to firm) latest. Respected off same mark, though softer ground would be an unknown.
Zambezi Magic
Ffos Las specialist who relishes heavy going. Very slowly away/plugged on to finish 9 lengths fifth of 8 in handicap (12/1) at Newbury (1¼m, good to firm) latest. Remains to be seen if enough rain falls for him here.
Staywitherjohnny (IRE)
Low-mileage maiden. Potentially well treated on the best of her form in maidens/handicaps up to 9f in Ireland (shapes as though will stay 1¼m) Fit from a spin over hurdles earlier this month and booking of Rossa Ryan catches the eye. Interesting, especially if backed (yard 0-5 in U.K. handicaps).
