Timeform View

TIME THIEF appeared to have a bit up his sleeve when making a winning start to his career at Yarmouth and is taken to defy a penalty. The main threat may come from Feelin' Free, who remains open to improvement and any easing of the ground could suit given her Ffos Las debut second came on soft.

Timeform Comments

Masterly (FR)
7/2, third of 8 in maiden at Yarmouth (9f, good to soft) on debut in September 2023 but hasn't been seen since. Looked open to progress but has a huge absence to overcome. Has been gelded.
Time Thief (IRE)
9/4, won 5-runner novice at Yarmouth (1¼m, firm) on debut 26 days ago. Had a bit in hand and this well-bred gelding seems likely to progress.
Peace Belle
Bumper winner. Seemed to show very useful form when 3 lengths fourth of 6 to Mount Atlas in 1¾m York Group 3 on second Flat start but nowhere near that level when 6 lengths second of 3 in 11f Carlisle novice since.
Why Not Me
Well-bred Time Test filly who was second of 4 on 7f Chelmsford debut in November. Raced too freely when weakening to finish fourth of 6 over 9.5f at Wolverhampton 9 months later. Interesting that Oisin Murphy rides again but she needs to learn to settle better.
Feelin' Free
Made a promising start under considerate handling when second of 8 in maiden at Ffos Las (1¼m, soft) in June. Not quite in the same form at Kempton 2 months later but still looked to be learning the ropes and worth another chance to show she's capable of better.
