Timeform View

BLUE TULIP should see out this longer trip and is given the vote with first-time headgear fitted. Le Rouge Chinois can maintain her recent run of good form at the expense of the similarly in-form Sound Gloria.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Lednikov traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Le Rouge Chinois (DEN)
Responded well to a switch of headgear when ending a losing run at Pornichet (15.4f) in March for Adam West in France. Disappointed on final 2 starts for that yard but has made a fine return to current stable with runner-up efforts at Yarmouth and Lingfield. Looks sure to go well again.
Tropical Talent
Cahse winner who ran creditably when last seen 15 months ago, finishing second of 7 in handicap hurdle at Bangor (17f, good). Had a breathing operation since and this is a rare Flat outing, which is presumably being used as a pipe-opener before going back over jumps.
Edwardtheninth
Off the mark in 2m Newcastle handicap in May, overcoming a hold-up ride in a race run at a crawl. Not disgraced when third at Wolverhampton (16.5f) in June with his rider putting up 2 lb overweight. Subsequently left Ruth Jefferson for £2,000.
Lednikov
Has a fine record at this venue with 6 wins to his name, latest with wide margin success in March. Made frame on last 2 starts, latest under a change of tactics when third at Doncaster. Potential pace angle who can go well again
Blue Tulip (IRE)
Overcame an interrupted passage when opening her account in handicap at Wolverhampton (1½m) in July. 7/2, seemed unsuited by track when 5¾ lengths third of 4 to Clocker at Ripon (1½m, good to firm) 16 days ago. First-time cheekpieces go on and she's expected to be bang there upped in trip.
Sound Gloria
Much improved since sent handicapping, suited by the further step up in trip when landing the odds in 7-runner contest at Catterick (1½m) in July. 5/6, ¾-length second of 7 to Is She Now at Doncaster (14.5f, firm) 16 days ago. Should give her running again.
Be Hopeful (IRE)
Well held in 3 outings and needs significant improvement on handicap debut.
