BARTHOLOMEW has been notably progressive in just 3 starts over hurdles since last seen on the Flat and almost certainly remains capable of better now reverting to this code, so he's a very appealing candidate. Dee Bee Zed went the wrong way from a successful bumper debut but is worth another chance based on the strength of his opening win. Joe Cool can have a say if bouncing back from a lesser effort, while very smart chaser Western Fold is another interesting contender.

Useful dual winner at up to 3m over hurdles and also fairly useful over fences but is likely to find this test on the sharp side on Flat debut/first run since leaving Henry De Bromhead.
Banbridge (IRE)
High-class chaser who unseated in the Grand National at Aintree when last seen in the spring. This is presumably a pipe-opener.
Bartholomew
Has improved appreciably with each run over hurdles, finishing an excellent 3¾ lengths second of 12 to Saratoga in Grade 1 at Punchestown (2m, good to soft) on final outing in April. Showed fair form in a trio of Flat maidens for previous yard and almost certainly remains capable of better.
Dee Bee Zed (IRE)
Overcame inexperience to make a winning bumper debut in cosy fashion at Punchestown in June. Went the wrong way at Bellewstown subsequently but is worth another chance now switching to the Flat based on solid debut form.
Figero (IRE)
A modest winning hurdler who showed fair form when fifth of 9 at Ballinrobe on Flat debut in July. Improvement needed.
Joe Cool (IRE)
Posted fairly useful efforts when runner-up in maidens at the Curragh/Bellewstown over the spring, the form of the latter now reading particularly well. Made a successful hurdling debut at Ballinrobe in May but needs to bounce back from a lesser effort in this sphere at Down Royal since.
Navy Guitar (IRE)
Just modest form over hurdles/on chasing debut and looks firmly up against it on Flat debut for new trainer after 10 months off.
Path D'oroux (FR)
A smart chaser who'd been out of sorts in the spring but shaped well from an unpromising position switched to the Flat after 11 weeks off when third at Killarney (1¾m) in July. Flattered to deceive back over hurdles at Galway since but open to improvement on return to this code.
Western Fold (IRE)
Very smart chaser who bounced back to his earlier Grade 1 form to win 9-runner Champion Novices' Chase at Punchestown (25f, good, 18/1) in April. This could be a pipe-opener but still warrants respect nonetheless.
Ballybawn Belter (IRE)
Useful hurdler/chaser who shaped as if amiss when pulled up at Galway (23f, good to soft) on most recent outing. Market probably best guide ahead of belated Flat debut.
Fraher Field (IRE)
Bumper winner who's finished no better than mid-division in 2 Flat maidens. Needs this run for a mark.
Kaleo Ametsa (FR)
Ran to a similar level as on Flat debut when third of 10 in maiden (28/1) at Tramore (1½m, good to soft) 17 days ago. Back up in trip.
Run For Mahler (IRE)
Fair bumper winner who doubled her tally over hurdles at Killarney (2½m) in July, rallying to lead dying strides. Never dangerous in a trio of Flat maidens though, and will be of more interest when switching to handicaps in this sphere.
Thisistheway (IRE)
Progressive hurdler who ran a cracker when second of 20 in 2m handicap at Galway last month. Showed fairly useful form in defeat over this distance on Flat debut last September and then unsuited by the marked drop in trip when down the field at the Curragh (7f) in March.
Nothingbutadream (IRE)
Has shown nothing in a trio of maidens, including in a first-time hood latest. Engaged 6.55 Roscommon Monday. RESERVE.
Goodie Girl (IRE)
A 3-time winner over hurdles but always behind in 2 Flat maidens. RESERVE.
Set To Win (IRE)
Offered little when twelfth of 18 in maiden (150/1) at the Curragh (6.3f, good to firm) on debut in June 2024 and off since. RESERVE.
