ALMARADA PRINCE has been knocking on the door in stronger races than this at Yok lately and looks ready to win for Paul Midgley. Mister Sox, a dual C&D winner, and Educating Rita were better than the result over C&D on Great St Wilfrid day and head the dangers along with Here Forever, a lightly-raced 3-y-o who leaves the impression he has bigger performances in him.

Has been working his way back to form for current yard this season, reaching the frame in big-field handicaps at York (all 6f) on his last 3 starts. Surely only a matter of time before he gets his head in front again.
Venture Capital
Course winner but hasn't fired this year, including back from another breathing operation last month.
Goyard (IRE)
Won maiden and novice here last year, including over this trip on soft. Has disappointingly yet to build on an encouraging reappearance at Pontefract in June but possible a return to Ripon and the addition of a tongue tie could spark a revival.
Here Forever
C&D maiden winner on good last autumn on final start for George Boughey. Brought along steadily for current yard and posted an encouraging fifth of 17 in handicap at Ayr (6f, good to firm) in July. Should have more to offer back from 8 weeks off.
Farandaway (IRE)
Reliable sort who won a 6f Newcastle maiden in March and 7f Thirsk handicap in July. Remained in good form since, including second of 10 in handicap at Redcar (6f, good) 10 days ago.
Wobwobwob (IRE)
Hasn't won since 2024 but that's reflected in his mark. Returned to some sort of form with a couple of outings under his belt when fifth of 8 at Goodwood (7f, soft) in June but not in same form at York and Hamilton since. Refitted blinker are combined with a first-time tongue tie.
Mister Sox
Enjoyed a productive 2025 with 4 victories, including 2 over this C&D. Mixed record this season but he shaped better than result (first home in his group) when sixth of 12 over C&D 17 days ago. Cheekpieces off, blinkers back on.
Fortamour (IRE)
Six-time C&D winner who signed off 2025 with back-to-back wins at Newcastle (6f) in November. Returned to form when narrowly denied over C&D (good) in May but well held twice since (including back here).
First Folio
On a losing sequence and hasn't really given any obvious indication that he's likely to take advantage. A change of headgear (visor for cheekpieces) needs to have a positive effect.
Educating Rita
Without a win since July 2024 but took a step back in the right direction at only the second time of asking for Phil Kirby when third of 21 at York (6f, good) in June. Raced in the unfavoured group and not disgraced in another big-field race over C&D since, although Mister Sox was ahead of her.
