Forest Caper
Fair maiden who ran right up to his best when finishing a length second of 9 in handicap at Newcastle in February. Seemingly not 100% when well held at Southwell later that month and market best guide as to expectations following a 6-month layoff.
Showcasing Star (IRE)
Runner-up in all-weather maidens/novice on first 3 starts but has cut little ice switched to handicaps earlier this summer, including on turf. Eases in class on the back of a short break now and booking of Rossa Ryan catches the eye.
Norman Invasion
Expensive breeze-up acquisition who has looked a work in progress in 5 starts to date, again not great at the start but seeing his race out well when fourth at Newbury (1¼m, firm) 54 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Worth considering back down in trip.
Hamda's Joy (IRE)
Placed on all 5 starts in maiden/novice company at up to 7f and despite being handed a stiff opening mark, she again ran well when 2 lengths fourth of 5 in handicap at Newmarket (1m) 17 days ago. Can give her running again but may be vulnerable to one or two here.
Master Of Entropy
Placed in a Newcastle maiden on return but has largely looked in the grip of the handicapper since his attentions switched to handicaps on turf. Easy to overlook his latest run at Pontefract though, (badly hampered) and possible he could yet have more to offer on just his second all-weather start.
