Comic Hero remains unexposed and is feared most back at the scene of his novice win at the start of the year. Shaman Champion took a big step back in the right direction at Southwell last time and is next on the list.

Got back on the up when impressive winner of 6f course handicap in July but in nothing like the same form back here (6f again) a week ago. Has a tongue tie refitted on the back of that.
Sierra Sands (IRE)
Won handicaps over 6f/7f at Newmarket this summer but below par when bidding for a hat-trick there last time. Needs to resume his progression now switching to all-weather for the first time.
Shaman Champion (IRE)
First sign of promise for new connections when close third of 7 over 7f at Southwell 37 days ago, his first outing on all-weather. Possible he can build on that having been gelded and with the Clive Cox stable going well.
Raggaas
Probably showed a bit of improvement to get off the mark in 7f Redcar maiden (good to firm) 25 days ago, his first attempt over this trip. Could be more to come in handicaps now that he's got his head in front.
Comic Hero (IRE)
C&D novice winner who bettered that form when close second in 1m Newmarket handicap in May (solid form). Only sixth of 9 at Chester since but didn't get a clear run and retains potential back from 12 weeks off.
Hardy's Hero
Dual winner as a juvenile and better form in defeat in handicaps this year, going down narrowly in small fields at Newmarket and Yarmouth (both good to firm) in midsummer. Ran poorly with cheekpieces added back at Newmarket last time and they are quickly discarded.
Manly Fireball (IRE)
Second in a C&D novice before winning a similar event over 6f at Wolverhampton in June. Good second of 11 in claimer at Wolverhampton (6f) 34 days ago. Cheekpieces on first time. Has the services of Billy Loughnane but the widest stall isn't ideal.
Blakefell (IRE)
Forward-going type who went close in a C&D handicap last month and shaped well again when going down by only a neck at Musselburgh (7f) last week. Surely only a matter of time before he wins a handicap.
