Timeform View

MADJID has been an improved performer since front-running tactics have been employed and should prove tough to beat on the hat-trick bid. Joseph might be the one to give him most to do.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Madjid traded at a high of 4.50 and Betfair SP of 5.26 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Joseph
Gained a second 1¼m win of 2026 (both at Lingfield) in cosy fashion in late-April. Good third of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (1½m) 16 days ago. Might be the one to give Madjid most to think about.
Madjid
Suffered 3 reversals after his promising handicap debut second at Doncaster in April but it's all come together with wins on his last 2 outings, including with plenty to spare over 1½m here last week. A 6 lb penalty doesn't look enough to stop him completing a hat-trick.
Pershalla
Got off the mark over 1½m here in April and doubled her tally when seeing off 8 rivals at Windsor (11.5f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Should remain competitive off 4 lb higher.
Extraterrestrial (IRE)
Fair maiden who bounced back to form when second of 9 at Brighton (1¼m, good) 73 days ago. Has cheekpieces refitted.
Thatcham
Little better than modest form in 3 qualifying runs at up to 1¼m but entitled to come on for last month's comeback at Windsor and his pedigree points to this slightly longer trip suiting on handicap debut.
Rogue Desire (FR)
Has yet to build on last autumn's debut third, including with a tongue tie added (retained) on handicap debut for new yard at Wetherby (1¼m, firm) in June. Still early days but needs improvement back from a break (has had breathing operation).
