Timeform View

SOD HALL LANE ran to a fairly useful level when finishing runner-up at Musselburgh on debut last month and a repeat effort should be enough to see Declan Carroll's colt go one better. He gets the nod over Royal Strike, who showed more than first time up when third at Thirsk recently and he's open to further improvement. Bacha completes the shortlist.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Sod Hall Lane traded at a low of 6.00 and Betfair SP of 28.67 when losing last time, a race in which it raced prominently.

Timeform Comments

Bacha (IRE)
Cotai Glory colt who knew more than on his debut but struggled for speed when it mattered when third of 8 in novice at Thirsk (5f, good) last month. Each-way claims on this qualifying run.
Perryston
Havana Grey colt who showed only greenness when tenth of 11 in maiden at Beverley (5f, good to firm) just over 6 weeks ago. Will need to have come on plenty for that here (has been gelded).
Royal Strike (IRE)
€160,000 breeze-up purchase who showed more than first time up switched to turf when third of 11 in maiden at Thirsk (6f, good) just under 3 weeks ago, not given a hard time once held. Open to further improvement.
Sneakin Pete
Foaled April 20. 23,000 gns foal, €16,000 2-y-o, Kodi Bear gelding. Dam once-raced half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m Aldaary. Likely outsider on debut.
Sod Hall Lane (IRE)
Blue Point colt who knew his job and showed fairly useful form when second of 5 in novice at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm) on debut last month. Obvious claims of going one better.
Stay On Tab
Little impact so far, including in first-time headgear on nursery bow at Musselburgh 8 days ago (went off too hard). Looks an easy swerve returned to maiden company.
Classyfied
Showed ability in 2 5f outings last month but may not really come into her own until handicapping. Engaged 2.40 Ripon Tuesday.
Dadawada (IRE)
Fared only a little better than on debut (for Gemma Tutty) when fourth of 6 in novice at Chester (5f, good) 11 days ago. First-time hood goes on.
