Timeform View

POWER OF KNOWLEDGE is bred to be an above-average prospect and, with his recent bumper debut under his belt, looks to have been found a good opportunity to make a winning start over hurdles. Midfield Magic shaped well on debut for Tom Dreaper and should have more to offer now with Gavin Cromwell, while Tomthescaffolder is also capable of being involved if bouncing back from an odds-on defeat last time.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Bayswater Bloom traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 25% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 4 starts: Firebrand traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP twice and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 3 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Firebrand (GER)
Fair maiden hurdler who reappeared with good second at Punchestown in June but hasn't been in the same form on either of his outings since. A contender for minor honours should first-time blinkers have a positive impact and spark a revival.
Baila Conmigo (IRE)
Fair 3-time winner over middle distances on the all-weather. Offered something to work on despite racing much too freely when 5¼ lengths fourth of 13 to Puppet Master in C&D maiden on hurdling debut. Open to improvement if settling better.
Whats New (IRE)
Not straightforward but going through a good spell at present, placed on all 5 completed starts this season, 7¾ lengths third of 14 to Thesilverbridle in maiden at Bellewstown on latest.
First Ascent (IRE)
Has hit the frame in 3 maidens without coming close to replicating his fairly useful Flat form. Getting closer than previously when 2 lengths third of 13 to Puppet Master in C&D event on latest. Capable of being involved if building on that.
Geashill Poet (IRE)
Urban Poet gelding. Dam of little account on Flat. Doesn't look an obvious type on paper.
Man Down (IRE)
Made frame completed start in points and shaped with little short-term encouragement when mid-division in extended 2m maiden at Killarney on hurdling debut.
Midfield Magic (IRE)
Poet's Word gelding who exceeded market expectations when 17¾ lengths fourth of 25 to Colcannon in maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse on debut/only start for Tom Dreaper. Has joined a yard that's been in good form of late and surely has more to offer after just a single outing. One to consider.
Scotty Joe (IRE)
Point winner. Shaped better than the distance beaten suggests when just under 15 lengths sixth of 16 in maiden at Kilbeggan on hurdle debut but always behind at Punchestown since.
Tomthescaffolder
In frame on all 3 starts in maiden hurdles, posting his best effort when 13½ lengths third of 14 to Newbrook Diamond at Wexford in July. Failed to meet expectations (10/11 favourite) when only fourth in similar event there on latest. Claims on that prior effort but needs to bounce back.
Blue Johnl (IRE)
Last on completed start in points and well held on both outings in C&D maiden hurdles.
Down After Dark (IRE)
Wings of Eagles gelding who could hardly have shown any less in maiden hurdle at Wexford 6 days ago. Jumping erratically in a distant last before finally unseating at the second last.
Power Of Knowledge (IRE)
Bred in the purple but was easy to back and showed plenty of greenness when 6¾ lengths fifth of 13 to Teofil in bumper at Galway on debut. Represents top connections, though, and looks to have been found a very winnable opportunity now starting out over hurdles.
Bayswater Bloom (IRE)
Found her progress coming to a halt when eighth of 18 in bumper at Galway (17f, good to soft) 33 days ago and isn't really bred for this job.
