Timeform View

VIRTUE PATIENCE's sole success came on the back of a break and Amanda Perrett's 4-y-o gets the vote to repeat that feat returning from 3 months off here. Prince Rasam looked well suited by 1m when runner-up at Kempton back in May, so he heads up the opposition also returning from an absence, with Decalogue rounding off the shortlist after an improved effort at Newmarket last time.

Special Ghaiyyath traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

City Of God (IRE)
Twice a winner on all-weather for Karl Burke but yet to fire in 4 starts for current yard. Handicapper drops him another chunk but hard to warm to.
Prince Rasam
Lightly raced and ran one of his better races when second of 14 at Kempton in May after 7 months off. He's had little racing at this trip but looked suited by it last time and now returns to turf after another 3-month break so is one to take seriously.
A La Noche (IRE)
Showed glimpses of promise for Richard Hannon in 2023 but despite attracting strong market support on his first start for new connections after almost 3 years off, was never a factor from a rusty start when last of 9 on handicap bow at Epsom (7f, firm) just under 3 weeks ago.
Thiscouldbefun (IRE)
Capitalised on a falling mark under an enterprising ride when scoring over C&D last month. Escaped a penalty but failed by a long chalk to back that up back here 8 days later, an overly-aggressive ride an insufficient excuse given how far she was beaten. Bounce back needed.
Special Ghaiyyath (IRE)
Landed back-to-back handicaps for James Tate last season. However, he's shown little in all 6 starts for current yard. Handicapper eases his grip further but very tough to recommend.
Decalogue (USA)
Low-mileage 3-y-o who is steadily improving in handicaps. Beaten just over 1½ lengths despite another slow start when third of 7 (fifth won since) in a similar event at Newmarket latest. In the mix from the same mark.
Virtue Patience
Sole success came at Lingfield back in spring 2025 and, having previously been pretty reliable on all-weather, failed to meet expectations when seventh of 11 at same venue (1m) when last seen 3 months ago. Career-low mark to work with and did win first start back from a break. Interesting.
Musashi (IRE)
Improved for the switch to handicaps back in the spring, following a second at Dundalk in April with another second at Killarney the following month. Possibly found the race coming too soon just 6 days on at Roscommon and has since left Joseph O'Brien (16,000 gns). Drops markedly back in trip.
