Timeform View

A valuable fillies' maiden which can go the way of THI QAR, who shaped with plenty of encouragement when runner-up at Newmarket on debut last month and John & Thady Gosden's filly is sure to have derived plenty from that initial effort. Miss Miniver also found just one too strong first time up and she can provide most resistance, with Concurrent and Costa Verde a couple of newcomers to note, as well.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Thi Qar could be advantaged by a prominent position which looks likely in this field: Of the better-fancied horses, Concurrent is most likely to be ridden furthest from the pace.

Timeform Comments

Concurrent
Foaled May 7. No Nay Never filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including winner up to 1m Juncture and winner up to 1m Prevalence. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart 7f-10.4f winner Promising Lead. Yard's record this season with 2-y-o debutants stands at 4-54 at the time of writing.
Costa Verde (IRE)
525,000 gns yearling, Starman filly who went with little encouragement when ninth of 12 in maiden at Wolverhampton (7f) on debut just over 7 weeks ago.
Ellavara (IRE)
Foaled January 22. 300,000 gns foal, 450,000 gns yearling, Blackbeard filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including smart winner up to 10.4f Barnavara and useful 2-y-o 7.4f winner Spanish Flame. Dam Polish 2-y-o 6f winner. Yard 4-30 with 2-y-o newcomers this season at the time of writing.
Learning
New Bay filly who was sent off favourite but was held back by both inexperience and the run of the race when fifth of 11 in minor event at Deauville (7f, good to soft) 3 weeks ago, having hopeless task from position. Open to improvement.
Miss Miniver (IRE)
410,000 gns foal, 800,000 gns yearling, Wootton Bassett filly who produced a promising first effort when second of 12 in novice at Kempton (7f) just over 3 weeks ago, especially considering she needed the experience more than the winner. Sure to improve.
Quintana
Foaled February 23. Dubawi filly. Dam, 2-y-o 7f/1m winner, sister to smart winner up to 1½m Pinhole. Yard's record this season with 2-y-o debutants stands at 0-12 at the time of writing.
Reveillez (GER)
Foaled March 26. 35,000 gns yearling, Hello Youmzain filly. Half-sister to 1½m-14.4f winner Rain. Yard's record this season with 2-y-o debutants: 1-11 at time of writing.
Rubyroo (IRE)
Supremacy filly who showed plenty to work on amid obvious inexperience when third of 8 in novice at Newcastle (7f) on debut a fortnight ago. Will improve with that initial effort under her belt.
Thi Qar (IRE)
Mehmas filly who shaped with plenty of encouragement amidst greenness when second of 6 in maiden at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) last month. Sure to progress and win races.
