Timeform View

A small field but a case can be made for a few of these. Preference goes to MY GREAT MATE, who shaped as if better for the run on return at the Galway Festival recently and Willie Mullins' 7-y-o should have no issues with this markedly longer trip. Affinity Rock is proving consistent since sent chasing, so looks an obvious threat, with Chanceawetmorning an interesting chasing debutant, as well.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

My Great Mate traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 3 starts.

Timeform Comments

Begger (IRE)
Point winner who was let down by jumping first 2 under Rules for Miss Elizabeth Anne Lalor and finished last of 10 in maiden chase at Galway (2¼m, good to soft) in late-July. Markedly back up in trip and tough to see him featuring.
Chanceawetmorning (IRE)
Gained a third hurdling win of 2026 at Roscommon in June. Back on track returned to a longer trip when fourth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Bellewstown (2½m, good) 9 days ago and he's an interesting chasing debutant.
Moonovercloon (IRE)
Low-key return starting out for new connections when down the field in Kilbeggan handicap hurdle in June and ran no sort of race back in headgear returned to chasing at Galway (23f, good to soft) 5 weeks ago. Watching brief advised.
My Great Mate (IRE)
Bumper/hurdles winner who has made a promising start in this sphere with 3 in-frame Galway efforts, shaping as if better for the run after 11 months off when third of 10 in beginners chase in late-July. Markedly upped in trip and looks the one to beat.
Affinity Rock (IRE)
A 22f winner over hurdles who is proving consistent as a chaser, again jumping soundly at the head of affairs when third of 6 in beginners chase at Killarney (23f, good to soft) just over a fortnight ago. In the mix again.
