Timeform View

An entry in the Royal Lodge at the end of the month points to KORSAKOV being well regarded by his top stable so he gets the nod to make a winning debut, with confidence in his chance increased should the betting vibes be strong. Newbury fourth San Jose is the other one in this line-up with Group entries and is second choice ahead of Kempton runner-up Chymbulak. The other newcomers from leading stables would also need considering if the betting speaks in their favour.

Timeform Comments

Ayuq (IRE)
Foaled March 18. Night of Thunder colt. Dam, 1¼m-1½m winner, sister to smart 7f winner Whitecliffsofdover. Of obvious interest on debut.
Chymbulak (IRE)
3/1, second of 8 in novice at Kempton (7f) on debut 30 days ago, getting the hang of things by the finish. Can be expected to improve.
Impasto
Foaled March 3. Palace Pier colt. Closely related to 3 winners, including useful winner up to 8.5f Samburu and 7f winner Fingerpaint. Would very much enter calculations if the betting vibes are strong.
Korsakov
Foaled March 2. Sea The Stars colt. Half-brother to 1½m winner Stage Show. Holds a Group 2 entry. Noteworthy newcomer.
Moon Rock (FR)
Foaled May 8. This Sea The Moon colt cost €280,000 at the breeze-ups and is a half-brother to 3 winners, including useful 1¼m-1½m winner Efraan and 2-y-o 1m winner Nevada, both in France. Another interesting debutant in this field.
San Jose (IRE)
8/1, showed plenty of ability when fourth of 13 in novice at Newbury (7f, good to firm) on debut 20 days ago. Open to progress for a yard among the 2-y-o winners in recent days.
Senor Blues
Foaled March 10. 100,000 gns Siyouni colt. Dam, 2-y-o 7f winner, half-sister to high-class 1¼m-1¾m winner Sixties Icon out of very smart 1¼m-1½m winner Love Divine. The betting should help guide to expectations with this one.
Shimmering Shadow (IRE)
Foaled April 23. Dark Angel colt. Dam 6f/7f winner. Represents a good stable and would need considering if the betting speaks for him.
Sky Mountain (IRE)
Foaled February 10. 47,000 gns Awtaad colt. Dam unraced half-sister to smart 7f winner (stayed 1m) Spectre. A watching brief is advised on debut.
Too Darn Regal (IRE)
Foaled February 15. 270,000 gns foal but 180,000 gns yearling, Too Darn Hot half-brother to 2-y-o 1m winner Familiar, also won over hurdles. Market informative.
Worthawhistle (IRE)
Foaled April 10. €130,000 State of Rest colt. Half-brother to useful 6f winner Gis A Sub and 7f winner Marselan. Dam unraced sister to useful German winner up to 1¼m Monami. Another debutant who would enter the reckoning if the betting speaks in his favour.
