It's very hard to get away from DELGANY SECOND NOW who can get the hat-trick up if taking to chasing after smooth wins over hurdles for his leading yard. Soldier In Mayo is likely to pose the main threat if ready to go after a long absence, while Rockvale probably has a race like this in him.

Timeform Comments

Soldier In Mayo (IRE)
Point winner who took a step forward on his handicap debut over hurdles when landing 9-runner contest here (2½m) when last seen in May 2025, showing a good attitude. Long absence to overcome but type to take to chasing.
My Bobby's Lass
Has won 2½m handicap hurdles at Hereford and Worcester. Record fresh not great and may need this first go over fences after 14½ months off.
Barry Fife (IRE)
Maiden hurdler whose form is patchy and was reluctant to set off in a first-time visor at Worcester a fortnight ago. Needs treating with caution on his chasing debut.
Moonlightinthepark (IRE)
Runner-up to a promising one sole start in Irish points but it was all rather underwhelming under Rules last season, including on chase debut at Ludlow when last seen in March. Could be one for staying handicaps.
Rule Me In (IRE)
Fair hurdle winner but has yet to really threaten over the larger obstacles, once more not living up to market expectations when last seen at Southwell in May. Headgear goes on and interesting to see if he's supported again from a further reduced mark on his return.
Hiero Sport (FR)
Dual winner over hurdles at this sort of trip. Got no further than the first on his belated chasing debut at Worcester (2m) a fortnight ago.
Rockvale (IRE)
Maiden but his second to a thriving rival at Uttoxeter (21f) in May shows he can be competitive from his mark over fences. Exited in luckless fashion 4 out at Stratford (23f) 8 weeks ago although he hadn't convinced with his jumping before that.
Delgany Second Now
Has made a faultless start in handicap hurdles, following up his Stratford (2¾m) victory in smooth style at Fontwell (19f) 3 days later. Bids for the hat-trick off a 7 lb lower mark on his chasing debut and obvious claims.
