Timeform View

SONYOURASTAR makes plenty of appeal for the excellent Olly Murphy/Sean Bowen combination. Low-mileage 8-y-o Fane Court looks a danger following his near miss here last time, along with Citizen Jane, who travelled well when second over C&D on her most recent start.

Timeform Comments

Stiletto
Enhanced fine record under Sean Bowen when opening his account for the year in a 23f here at Worcester in July. Ran at least as well when 1½ lengths third over same C&D last time, though has previously found this career-high mark beyond him.
Sonyourastar (IRE)
Low-mileage 6-y-o who is steadily progressing. Saw his race out better than on handicap debut when 3¼ lengths third in second-time tongue strap at Uttoxeter (2½m) last time. Subsequent breathing operation should benefit, as well the longer trip, and he's fancied to get off the mark here.
Final Entry (IRE)
Doubled his career/Newton Abbot tally when a narrow winner in first-time visor in June. Still looked in form when 4¾ lengths fourth off this mark over C&D subsequently, and he does benefit from good-value conditional taking over on this occasion.
Jullou De Grissay (FR)
Sole success came in C&D handicap hurdle (off 11 lb higher mark) for Max Comley last August. More miss than hit over fences for current yard, however, Gavin Sheehan a positive jockey booking on his return to hurdling.
Bound For Glory
Wide-margin bumper winner at Stratford. Hit the frame both starts in maiden hurdles. Only matched that form on handicap debut here (2½m) latest, finishing 12¼ lengths third. Now tackles even longer trip (Flat bred) with cheekpieces added to the mix. Could improve if he stays.
Wispit Twob (IRE)
Runner-up in academy hurdle on second start in Ireland last November. Made a discouraging start in handicaps for current yard last spring, though, and probably still too high in the weights on return from 5 months off.
Getuptheyard (IRE)
Maiden who finished runner-up in 3 consecutive handicaps in early-2025. Probably needed the run when well-held fourth following another breathing operation at Uttoxeter in May. Hardly a positive that we haven't seen him since, though.
Iamcelestialgift (FR)
Low-mileage 8-y-o (seemingly hard to train) who hasn't kicked on since justifying support on debut at Carlisle (19f) last spring, faring no better for a change of tactics/more severe headgear over 2½m here (18/1) last time.
Stamina Chope (FR)
Consistent veteran who won 2½m mares handicaps over fences and hurdles last season (stays further). The ground may not be soft enough for her on first start for 6 months, though, and her record fresh is ordinary.
Fane Court (IRE)
Winning pointer who is going the right way in handicaps for present yard. Couldn't have gone any closer to opening his account in a thin C&D event off a quick turnaround last time. Still lightly-raced for his age and may well be in the shake-up again following 7-week break.
Citizen Jane
Point winner. Travelled smoothly/ran one of her better races when 5½ lengths second of 10 over C&D in late-July. The form has taken a few knocks, though she's still weighted to go close in her bid for an elusive Rules victory.
