ETONNANTE found a well-up-to-scratch Group 2 beyond her at Newmarket in July but she's back down in calmer waters here on the back of a breathing operation and can defy a penalty. Marsala is the marginal forecast pick.

Timeform Comments

Etonnante (IRE)
Sent off odds on for debut and justified her strength in the market in 7-runner novice at Ripon in May, scoring in ready fashion once the penny dropped. Found a Group 2 too much at Newmarket in July but wasn't disgraced and is very much the one to beat back in a novice after a breathing operation.
Californian Angel
65,000 gns yearling, Dark Angel filly. Dam 6f winner out of winning half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Nahoodh (won Falmouth Stakes). Promise amidst inexperience on debut at Nottingham in June before proving too keen in listed company 3 weeks later. Tongue tie applied.
Marsala (IRE)
Mehmas filly from a family the yard has had success with. Promising fourth starting out over 6f at Newbury in July but disappointing when a short price upped to 7f at Kempton 3 weeks ago. Did miss the break on that occasion and she can bounce back.
Novah (IRE)
Foaled March 2. Invincible Spirit filly. Dam, 2-y-o 7f winner who stayed 1¼m, half-sister to useful 14.2f winner (stays 17f) Eagle Fang out of useful 11f winner Scatina. Bred for longer trips and offered little on debut at Thirsk.
