Timeform View

This is wide open but it could pay to side with CLEMENTINES STAR who had looked on the up until not seen to best effect from a poor draw when third on her handicap bow at Chepstow. Recent Ffos Las scorer Cypriot Diaspora rates a big threat under a penalty though, while Dream Illusion, Imelda and Gelato can all play a prominent role too.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Cypriot Diaspora traded at a high of 5.30 and Betfair SP of 5.10 when winning last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Folkene (FR)
Ex-French filly who made a winning start for current yard at Newmarket (7f) last summer. In and out since but back on track with fourth of 9 in handicap at Catterick (7f, good) 18 days ago. Needs to reproduce it here.
Pickersgill (IRE)
Not proving easy to catch right since scoring at Southwell (7f) in April and bombed out completely at Hamilton on Wednesday.
Homestrait (IRE)
Gained a deserved victory in 7f handicap at Carlisle in July. Not disgraced both runs since, sixth of 10 in handicap at Beverley (7f, good) 23 days ago. One to note down in class.
Magic Music
Lightly-raced 4-y-o who got off the mark in 7f Doncaster handicap in June. Back from a break with a respectable fifth of 11 in handicap over C&D (good to firm) 4 weeks ago. In the picture.
Dream Illusion
Won 3 times on the all-weather early in 2026. Posted a good second of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7f) 18 days ago. This strong traveller should go well again.
Clementines Star
Front runner improved to get off the mark in 7f maiden at Thirsk (7f) in July. Evens, not best drawn (beaten by 2 that raced closest to stands rail) when a solid third of 7 in handicap at Chepstow (7f, good to firm) 29 days ago. Remains one to be interested in.
Toralou (IRE)
Opened her account in a 1m Musselburgh maiden last August but proved inconsistent since, only seventh of 9 in handicap at Hamilton (1m, good to firm) 24 days ago. Others are more convincing.
Imelda (IRE)
Progressive form when placed on her first 3 starts in early summer. Poorly drawn when fourth of 10 on her handicap debut at Chester (7f, good to firm) in July. Lightly raced and worth another chance.
Cypriot Diaspora
Capitalised on a reduced mark in 8-runner handicap at Ffos Las (7.4f, good to soft) a week ago. Saddles a 5 lb penalty but another bold showing is on the cards.
Gelato (IRE)
Much improved on second run for new yard with ready breakthrough success in 7f handicap at Ffos Las in June. Disappointing under less testing conditions over 1m there since, though, not for the first time looking wayward under pressure.
Only Dream Big
Front-runner gained back-to-back wins at Redcar (7f) and Musselburgh (1m) in June. Posted a solid fifth of 8 in handicap back at Musselburgh (9f, good to firm) 10 days ago. Considered back down in trip.
Light The Night Up (IRE)
Remains winless but she's proving a reliable sort and comes here on the back of a good fifth of 10 in handicap at Musselburgh (7f, good to firm) 11 days ago.
