Timeform View

NAMIID won over this C&D in May and is taken to build on some solid handicap efforts and resume winning ways back at this venue. Moltophino shaped well last time and is feared most from what looks a workable mark, while the thriving Amiata is also respected.

Timeform Comments

Erosandpsyche (IRE)
On long losing run but several good efforts in defeat, including when ¾-length second of 8 to Likedbymike in listed race at Cork last time. Entitled to be thereabouts under decent-value 7 lb claimer.
Thunderbear (IRE)
Ran up to his best when successful in 10-runner listed race at Naas (6f, soft) last year. Not in same form this season and market likely to prove the best guide as he starts out for new trainer. Wears first-time tongue strap.
Amiata (IRE)
Has gone from strength to strength this year, winning at Naas in April and at the Curragh in June before taking his form up another notch when landing a 9-runner handicap at this course last month by a head from By The Lake. Must be respected.
Namiid (IRE)
Opened his account in C&D maiden in May and has acquitted himself well in handicap company since, latest when close third of 18 to Mary Shoelaces at the Curragh (5f, good to firm) 49 days ago, better placed than most. Merits consideration back at this venue.
Allsortz (IRE)
Won 6f handicap at Dundalk in April and over 5f at Cork in May. Ran well when 2 lengths fourth of 12 to Dark Ace back at Dundalk last time. Progress needed if he's to resume winning ways here, though.
Moltophino (IRE)
Turned in best effort of the season when ¾-length second of 10 to Bear on The Run at the Curragh a fortnight ago. Down another 3 lb and looks sure to give another good account back at a venue at which he's run well at in the past.
Gotta Catch'em All (IRE)
Has benefited from the drop to sprinting with blinkers fitted, scoring at this course and Naas (both at 6f) in July. Mixed record last 4 outings, though, not at his best when 3¼ lengths fifth of 16 to Cashel Blue over C&D on latest 3 days ago.
Dandyville (IRE)
Useful handicapper at best but form went the wrong way for Stuart Crawford last year and, after 13 months off, hasn't gone with any encouragement on either start this season.
