Timeform View

The suggestion is NYMAN, whose last 2 runs have strongly suggested he's coming to the boil. Obelix was unlucky not to have gone close at Beverley last month having suffered significant interference and must enter calculations, along with Mr King, who's holding his form well at present.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Packetofbiscuits traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Stanley Spencer has traded at 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Stanley Spencer (IRE)
Multiple all-weather winner who got back on track when finding only one too good in 10-runner handicap at Southwell (6f) in April. Changed hands for 13,000 gns the following month and probably needed the run back on turf at Chester a fortnight ago. Cheekpieces refitted and this will reveal more.
Obelix
Back to winning ways at Wetherby in June and left behind a couple of lesser efforts when fourth of 10 at Beverley (7.3f) 24 days ago, despite suffering significant interference. Strong contender from what remains a workable mark.
Capital Guarantee (IRE)
Returned to winning ways down in grade over C&D in July. Below form from a 4 lb higher mark at Redcar next time and ran even worse at Ripon 3 weeks ago.
Midnight Strike (IRE)
Useful at his peak in Ireland and made the most of a marked drop in grade fitted with headgear when landing 3-runner seller at Beverley in July. Did a bit too much in front on return to handicap company at Ripon prior to a respectable third back in plating company at Chester (7.6f).
Mr King (IRE)
Back to form out of the blue to take advantage of a reduced mark on third start for current yard over C&D (good) in June, suited by sound gallop. Has run creditably in defeat on both outings since and should remain competitive if continuing in a similar vein.
Imperial Guard (IRE)
Down in the weights and completed a quick-fire Ayr hat-trick (7.2f) in July. Found life tougher in a deeper race at Doncaster latest, however.
Packetofbiscuits
Return to 7f worked the oracle when winning a pair of Southwell handicaps in February. However, went off the boil in the spring and again finished well held returning from a 4-month break at Wolverhampton on most recent outing.
Fiscal Policy (IRE)
Suited by sound pace when ending a long losing run at Pontefract (6f) in June. Rather mixed bag since but shaped as if back in form when third at aforementioned track on latest start and should be at least as effective back at 7f.
Nyman (IRE)
Yet to score this term but is working his way back to form from an easing mark, doing best of those held up at Redcar (1m) on penultimate outing. Looked unlucky not to finish closer at Doncaster since and remains one to bear in mind.
