Timeform View

A useful handicap that seems sure to prove strong form. GALILEAN QUALITY shaped notably well in sustaining his run from a long way back when runner-up in the Melrose at York a fortnight ago and still looks on good mark following a 5 lb rise. Asia Force, a stablemate of the selection, immediately showed the benefit of a gelding operation when a dominant winner at Carlisle and could have more to offer, with Bridge of Eagles also of interest upped markedly in trip.

Timeform Comments

Galilean Quality (IRE)
Has the odd quirk but he's essentially progressive and enhanced an already impressive strike rate when winning over this trip at Ascot in July. Shaped notably well in sustaining his run from a long way back when runner-up in the Melrose at York (1¾m) since and remains of firm interest up 5 lb.
Mythical Bay (IRE)
Progressive son of New Bay who overcame the rise in class when registering a third career success in 7-runner handicap at Newmarket (1¾m, firm) in July. Shaped as if still in good form in the Melrose since but didn't see things out so well faced with more of an emphasis on stamina.
Pierre Grosse
Fairly useful maiden who has been notably consistent this season, finishing in the frame on 5 of his 6 starts. Left poorly placed in first-time cheekpieces at Ascot latest. Tongue strap now goes on.
Asia Force (IRE)
Runner-up in a trio of novices and showed improved form on the back of a gelding operation when dominant winner of 6-runner handicap at Carlisle (1¾m, good to firm, 6/4) 25 days ago, responding well. Tackles better company from a 6 lb higher mark but further progress certainly possible.
Lopeo (IRE)
Goodwood maiden winner in the mud in 2025 who coped fine with the still longer trip when finding only one too good again in 6-runner handicap (6/1) at Doncaster (14.5f, good to firm) in June. Ran too badly to be true behind Mythical Bay at Newmarket subsequently and could easily get back on the up.
Reem Rak (IRE)
Improved when runner-up over 1½m at Ffos Las in June before benefiting further from an even greater test of stamina to run out a 16-length winner of a 3-runner handicap at Doncaster (14.5f, firm). Hiked up 10 lb but proved she's still on a workable mark when just failing to follow up at Newmarket.
Bridge Of Eagles (IRE)
Improved to make a winning handicap debut/return at Goodwood (1¼m) in May (beat 2 next-time-out winners). Hasn't kicked on in 3 starts since but could resume his progress now tackling a much longer trip which is expected to suit on pedigree.
Cotton Bud (IRE)
Progressive 2-y-o for Kevin Philippart de Foy and took her form up another level when making a winning debut for current yard in 1¼m handicap at Doncaster on return in April. Respectable efforts in better company since but faces a tough task from 3 lb out of the weights.
