Timeform View

MOAB is fit from a good run on the Flat and perhaps this can finally be his day over hurdles. Downtown Nashville has shown enough in a couple of bumpers this summer to make him of interest in a race like this now hurdling. Anzac Day also has the potential to leave the form of his first run over hurdles behind.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Moab traded at a low of 3.50 and Betfair SP of 3.31 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Anzac Day (IRE)
A fairly useful Flat winner for Andrew Balding. Could only manage a well-held fifth on Worcester hurdle debut in May but it was his first outing for 8 months and he's recorded a couple of respectable efforts on the Flat since.
Coastal Command
Encouraging third in a Worcester bumper and novice hurdle at Uttoxeter on first 2 starts but capitulated tamely at Huntingdon last December and hasn't been seen since. The betting may help guide to expectations on return.
Moab (IRE)
Fair winner on the Flat. Yet to get his head in front over hurdles but plenty of good efforts, including third of 24 in Punchestown handicap hurdle in April. Back from 4 months off with a creditable effort on the level 16 days ago and that should have put him spot on for this.
Downtown Nashville (IRE)
Made the frame on both completed starts in Irish points and has placed in bumpers at Uttoxeter and Perth this summer. This slightly longer trip should suit now hurdling and should be up to making presence felt in a race like this.
Novelista (IRE)
Fairly useful winner on the Flat for Charlie Johnston. Fair form when runner-up on the second of 2 starts over hurdles last season but absent since a poor run on the Flat in May.
