Timeform View

COSMOS D'AINAY sets a clear standard after his dominant win at Cork so he should prove hard to beat. Fellow-penalised winner Puppet Master can make it a 1-2 for the Irish.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Cosmos D'ainay traded at a high of 5.50 and Betfair SP of 8.01 when winning last time, a race in which it raced prominently and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Cosmos D'ainay (FR)
Lightly-raced point/bumper winner who impressed when opening his hurdles account at the third time of asking in maiden at Cork after 11 months off (fourth has won since). Open to further improvement and looks hard to beat.
Puppet Master (IRE)
Won the Lingfield Derby Trial for Aidan O'Brien last year. Safe to say he won't reach that level again but did at least show he has a future in this sphere when winning Kilbeggan maiden with a bit in hand 17 days ago.
Secret Soldier (IRE)
Soldier of Fortune gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, including useful hurdler Off Your Rocco. Offered something to work on when mid-field in Cork bumper in July. Has since left Gordon Elliott but his new yard has already sent out a former Elliott charge to win twice this summer.
Datstheholyallofit (IRE)
Progressive form in bumpers, getting off the mark at Kelso in May. Made up a lot of ground late in the day when second in novice at Worcester on hurdles bow. Valid excuses at Sedgefield 9 days later and turned out quickly again here.
Luna Grace
Third on all 5 of her starts, including both starts over hurdles. Likely has more to offer given how she shaped at Kelso when last seen in May but she's likely to find a few too good for her once again.
