Timeform View

SAINT POLO has completed a hat-trick over hurdles fitted with a tongue strap since his underwhelming chase debut and he's well worth another chance over the larger obstacles. Miss Denver arrives in excellent order and looks the obvious threat.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Saint Polo traded at a high of 20.00 and Betfair SP of 4.70 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Melton Mossy (IRE)
Five-time hurdles winner who struck at the second time of asking over fences in 3-runner Wincanton handicap (good) in March. Better than bare facts of Worcester run 2 months later but he's never been one for maximum faith.
Saint Polo (FR)
Failed to meet expectations on chasing debut in May but a tongue tie fitted after and he's won all 3 starts over hurdles since. 2 lb lower than at Sedgefield 10 days ago so poses a huge threat back over fences.
Juggernaut (FR)
Twelve runs since last win in 2024 and just a creditable third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Stratford (19f, good) 13 days ago, barely adequate test. Given a chance by the assessor back chasing given he was runner-up in this from 8 lb higher a year ago. Blinkered for first time.
Most Wanted (IRE)
Fair Flat winner. Offered little in handicap hurdles prior to making a successful chasing debut in a poor 4-runner event at Fakenham in late-May. Hasn't kicked on from that over fences but more like it over smaller obstacles when second here 11 days ago. Visor replaces cheekpieces.
Miss Denver
Remains a maiden but fared better than previously when runner-up in handicap chase at Worcester in July and has occupied same spot both starts since, long way clear of the rest at Market Rasen 3 weeks ago. Big shout from same mark.
