EDELAK has built up a fine record front-running in small-field events and may well be able to take advantage of a similar scenario here. Arctic Voyage appeals most for forecast purposes.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Edelak traded at a high of 1.99 and Betfair SP of 1.73 when winning last time, a race in which it led and travelled strongly early on.

Timeform Comments

Edelak (IRE)
Fairly useful winner on Flat for Johnny Murtagh. Has racked up 4 wins from 6 starts for all-conquering Dan Skelton yard this summer, landing another very uncompetitive event with ease at Stratford in July. Could well make every yard in another small-field event.
War Correspondent (IRE)
Untrustworthy sort. Ran well when third in latest hurdles outing at Uttoxeter in July but made little impact both starts over fences since. This is easier but his strike rate tempers enthusiasm.
Arctic Voyage
Improving 4-y-o who made it 3 wins from 4 when finding plenty over C&D in early-July. He's building up a good course record and can take another step forward following 2 months off.
Ellerton (FR)
C&D winner in May and, after making an inauspicious chasing debut in July, was successful in match race at this course (2¼m, good to firm) by 1¾ lengths from Donnie Azoff 11 days ago on the back of a breathing operation. Can go well again.
