Timeform View

The betting should reveal plenty here but it could be worth siding with ROMOTOSO to belatedly confirm debut Doncaster promise and get off the mark with Oisin Murphy now in the saddle. Both Sequel Star and Thai Baht look to have better days ahead of them and can also play a prominent role, while Miss Tango is another to consider in an open novice.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Romotoso traded at a low of 3.05 and Betfair SP of 1.83 when losing last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Timeform Comments

Polyxena (IRE)
40/1, overcame inexperience to make a winning debut in 8-runner novice over C&D (good to firm) in July. This Kodiac filly is open to progress.
Lucky Orla
50/1, last of 8 in novice at Nottingham (6f, good) on debut. Off 134 days with lots to find.
Miss Tango (IRE)
Showcasing filly who built on debut promise with fourth of 8 to Polyxena in novice over C&D (good to firm) in July. Likely to do better still so she's one to consider.
Nonrem
Has failed to beat a rival in a pair of conditions events at Salisbury and Newbury 3 months apart, though not at all knocked about when last of 5 in 6f event on latter occasion 24 days ago. Remains with potential in a first-time tongue tie.
Plastic Dream
22/1, hinted at promise with fourth of 5 in novice at Newmarket (6f, good) on debut 18 days ago. Tongue strap goes on. This Havana Grey filly can take a step forward.
Sea Angie Run
9/1, shaped as if the run was needed when seventh of 9 in novice at Haydock (7f, good to firm) on debut 31 days ago. This daughter of Ghaiyyath can build on it.
Sequel Star (IRE)
Progressive type who came in fourth of 5 in nursery at Epsom (7f, firm) 24 days ago, despite not looking totally at ease on the track. Can go well with Tom Marquand now up.
Catalistic (IRE)
Foaled June 1. Calyx filly. Dam, bumper winner, half-sister to smart 1¼m-1½m winner (should have stayed 2m) Clowance.
Cranberry Breeze (IRE)
Foaled March 25. €32,000 2-y-o, Bayside Boy filly. Half-sister to several winners, including winner up to 7f Jabaara and 9.4f-1¾m winner Tajanis, both useful. Dam 7f winner. The market can guide.
Decem Carolinae
Fared best of the newcomers when staying on for sixth in 13-runner maiden at Yarmouth (6f, good to firm) in June. Entitled to take a step forward from that experience.
Santo
A'Ali filly. Posted a very good third in novice at Newbury (6f, firm) but came in last of 8 in C&D novice later in July. Not written off after a short break.
Highland Grey
14/1, seventh of 9 in all-weather maiden at Lingfield (7f) on debut 34 days ago. Can improve for the initial experience.
Pent Up Charm
250/1 and very green, ninth of 12 in novice at Salisbury (6f, good to soft) on debut 17 days ago. Should take a step forward here.
Romotoso
Lope Y Fernandez filly. Made a promising start when third in 6.5f Doncaster maiden but failed to build on it when an odds-on second of 9 in all-weather maiden at Lingfield (6f) 20 days ago. Well worth another chance for her in-form yard with Oisin Murphy up.
Thai Baht
Bangkok filly. 8/1, shaped well when debut second of 6 in all-weather novice at Lingfield (6f) 13 days ago, no match for winner but clear of rest. Seems sure to improve.
