Timeform View

LAURALYNN has bumped into some well-treated rivals when placed in both her nurseries and looks sure to go well. Lady of Hay has the potential for improvement now venturing into handicaps and is second choice ahead of Crystal Kraken.

Timeform Comments

Lady Of Hay
No better than modest form in 3 qualifying runs but she's a well-bred filly from a leading stable so it would be no surprise to see her take a step forward now handicapping.
Lauralynn (IRE)
Made all in 5f Southwell maiden in May. Found listed Marygate at York all too much next time but has posted 2 solid efforts switched to nurseries in recent weeks. Another bold show is likely.
Calef (IRE)
180,000 gns Blue Point filly. Showed good speed when improved third at Catterick in June but has gone the wrong way since. Switches to all-weather for this slightly belated nursery debut. Visored first time.
Cavan Lady
Modest form, beaten just over 3 lengths when fourth of 7 on 7f Chepstow nursery debut in July. Switches to all-weather back from 2 months. Billy Loughnane is a positive booking but her draw is tricky.
Sable Island
Hasn't kicked on from her debut third at Southwell, although she wasn't beaten far when sixth in 6f course nursery 3 weeks ago.
Crystal Kraken
Runner-up in first 2 nurseries but not in quite the same form when third of 5 at Chepstow (soft) last Monday. Blinkered first time. Claims if back to best.
Chianti
In frame on all starts since debut, finishing third of 8 switched to a nursery at Chepstow (5f, good to firm) 29 days ago. Makes all-weather debut.
Time And Effort
Left previous efforts well behind following a break when second in 6f Southwell maiden in July but failed to back that up when eighth of 10 in 6f Kempton nursery since. Now back at 5f with a tongue tie added.
Trust Havana (IRE)
Hasn't shown enough across her 5 starts to think she's likely to make it sixth time lucky here.
Le Ciel Noble (IRE)
Well held in 3 qualifying runs over 6f/7f during the summer. Drops in trip for nursery debut on the back of a breathing operation. Worth a second look in the betting.
Good Fighter
Hinted at ability in a Windsor novice (5f) on debut but hasn't kicked on in 3 outings since, including last month's Beverley nursery debut in blinkers (replaced by first-time cheekpieces now).
