Joseph O'Brien is responsible for nearly half of the field and may land this race for the third time since 2018 courtesy of BESET, who has a strong record fresh and is likely to have going to suit on her first start since the spring. Promising 3-y-o Chasing Paradise is another who hasn't been seen for a while, possibly to avoid summer going, and may provide the chief threat ahead of fellow lightly-raced sort Classiest. Snapretend, a stablemate of the selection, completes the shortlist.

Added to her good record in the mud when winning a Naas listed race and second in a Curragh Group 3 in the spring. Not disgraced on a quicker surface back at the Curragh in May and seems likely to have her ground back from a break. Leading claims.

Useful filly but failed to build on a promising yard debut when seventh in a Cork Group 3 last month. The yard has stronger contenders elsewhere.
Duvessa (IRE)
Off the mark in a maiden at Dundalk (10.7f) when last seen in July but this is a jump up in class.
Galileo Dame (IRE)
Sole Flat success came in a Leopardstown maiden in 2024 but she's acquitted herself with plenty of credit in ultra-competitive staying handicaps in recent months. Respectable third of 6 in a conditions event at this course (1¾m, soft) in first-time cheekpieces 39 days ago. Back down in trip.
Kalixa (IRE)
Fairly useful filly. 100/1, first run since leaving Dermot Weld when 11¼ lengths last of 8 to Bosphorus Rose in listed race at Roscommon (1½m, good to soft) 70 days ago. Stiff task kept to listed company.
Nans View (IRE)
Fairly useful mare. Won 18-runner C&D handicap at the 2025 Galway Festival but this is her first run since. Likely best to look elsewhere.
Narlita (GER)
Fairly useful mare. 33/1, seventeenth of 18 over C&D (soft) 39 days ago. Plenty to find on form.
Navy Waters (IRE)
Useful mare. 5/1, creditable third of 11 in handicap at the Curragh (1½m, good) 17 days ago. Each-way claims with the Willie McCreery team in form.
Nuit (IRE)
Useful filly who has been highly tried, hitting the frame in listed/group 3 company this summer before coming good dropped to a maiden at Ballinrobe (13f, good) 50 days ago. Colin Keane does the steering again.
Snapretend (IRE)
Useful filly. 28/1, very good 2 lengths fourth of 8 to Believed in Give Thanks Stakes at Cork (1½m, good) 25 days ago. Can make presence felt.
Tamam Desert (IRE)
Fairly useful course winner. 28/1, well-beaten last of 7 to Danielle in Bronte Cup at York (1¾m, good) when last seen in May. Difficult ask back from a break.
Chablis Rock (IRE)
Confirmed previous promise when winning 1½m maiden at Limerick in April. Bit below form when fifth of 9 in handicap at Down Royal (10.4f, soft) 8 weeks later. Off for a further 11 weeks. Some of her top stable's other runners hold more obvious claims.
Chasing Paradise (IRE)
Went one better than last autumn's debut in 1¼m maiden at the Curragh in April. 5¼ lengths fourth of 7 to Thundering On in Group 3 at Navan (1¼m, good) 3 weeks later. Off since but evidently capable fresh and should have more to offer, particularly at 1½m. Cheekpieces are also added.
Classiest (IRE)
Wootton Bassett filly out of a Group 3 winner. Sported blinkers when making winning debut over 1m here in the mud last autumn. Stepped up on that form when 5¾ lengths third of 7 to Star Performer in listed race at Gowran (9.5f, good to firm) 10 months later. Should be more to come for top yard.
Ice Dancer (IRE)
Won Gowran maiden last summer and matched that form when third in a Curragh Group 3 in October. Failed to beat a rival home this term, however. Cheekpieces (replacing blinkers) need to spark a major revival.
Teologia (FR)
Progressive Teofilo filly who completed a Down Royal hat-trick this summer. Winning run ended but ran with credit when 4¾ lengths fifth of 9 to Highwayman in listed race at Leopardstown (1¾m, good) 19 days ago.
