Timeform View

An interesting race. NOBLE TRAVELLER made a very good start to his career when just failing to get there in a valuable sales race in France last month and is narrowly preferred to Quicken Away, who shaped similarly well on debut when finding the line coming a couple of strides too soon at Newbury.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Quicken Away traded at a low of 2.56 and Betfair SP of 2.70 when losing last time, a race in which it raced towards the rear.

Timeform Comments

Al Jabbar (IRE)
4/9, second of 6 in novice at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) on debut 18 days ago. The fact he went off such a short price suggests he's well regarded by his top stable and he looks sure to improve, particularly at 1m. NON RUNNER.
Al Qayed (IRE)
8/1, green when last of 3 in novice at Newmarket (1m, good) on debut 24 days ago. Should be wiser now.
Lead The Squad (IRE)
17/2, eighth of 9 in novice at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) on debut 47 days ago. Plenty of improvement needed.
Momentsofsurrender (IRE)
Foaled February 9. 135,000 gns Starspangledbanner colt. Half-brother to 7f/1m winner Constant Comment. Dam, 1½m winner, half-sister to smart 6f-1¼m winner Eastern Express. The betting should help guide to expectations with this one.
Noble Traveller
Promising start to his career when second of 12 in a valuable newcomers race at Deauville (7f, good to soft) 26 days ago, just failing to get there having had to wait for a run. His pedigree strongly suggests this longer trip will suit. Leading claims.
Quicken Away (USA)
500,000 gns Frankel colt who was undone by greenness on his 1m Newbury debut (good to firm) 25 days ago, finishing well. Holds a Group entry and looks sure to improve.
Royal Acclamation
11/4, well-held third of 8 in maiden at Lingfield (1m, all-weather) on debut 19 days ago. Likely to improve but Al Jabbar looks the stable first string.
Speyside
Promising 3 lengths third in a 7f course maiden at the Glorious meeting but went backwards from that when well held in another maiden at the York Ebor meeting. Has a tongue tie added in his bid to bounce back.
Surrey Bolt
Foaled February 25. 65,000 gns New Bay colt. Dam unraced half-sister to useful 7f-1½m winner Legend of Dubai out of smart 1¼m/10.4f winner Speedy Boarding. Will need to be useful to make a winning debut here.
