Timeform View

SORRENGAIL sets the bar high on the form she showed when chasing home Evenfall in a similar race over 6f at Newbury last month and should take a bit of stopping if her stamina holds up in trip. Al Samsama didn't win a strong race by Newbury standards on debut but should have more to come, particularly at 7f, and she's feared most.

Timeform Comments

Al Samsama (IRE)
Blue Point filly who overcame inexperience to make a winning debut in a 6f Newbury maiden (firm) 4 weeks ago. That bare form is nothing to get carried away with but she's definitely capable of better, particularly up in trip.
China In Your Hand
Promising third on Doncaster debut and made no mistake in 7f Newmarket maiden (good to firm) 4 weeks later. Found a step up to Group 3 company beyond her back at Newmarket since and she'll need an improved effort to lower the colours of Sorrengail.
Sorrengail
Raced at 6f on good to firm, building on debut to win Ascot novice in July. Improved again chasing home a smart prospect in Newbury conditions event last month. Fitted with a hood now stepping up to 7f. Sets a good standard.
Spirit Tango (IRE)
475,000 gns yearling who left debut behind when winning 6f Kempton novice in July. Will stay 7f and this Rockfel entry appeals as the sort to go on improving.
The Can Can Queen
Landed 6f novice at Ripon in May. Excellent third in 6f listed race at Newmarket (6f, good) in June but hasn't beaten a rival in her 2 outings since so has a bit to prove now stepping up to 7f.
Global Success (IRE)
Has had 7 starts and is seemingly exposed as a fair maiden at best. Up against it here unless first-time blinkers (replacing cheekpieces) spark improvement.
