Timeform View

HARRY'S HALO has dropped to a handy mark and arrives on the back of a good second in a stronger contest at Epsom. He gets the nod. Valentine Catcher and Eyes Front are also of interest.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Valentine Catcher shouldn’t be inconvenienced if looking to adopt a prominent position: The leaders will have to go harder than the predicted pace forecast if the hold-up horses such as Harry's Halo are going to come into things.

Timeform Comments

Harry's Halo (IRE)
Didn't fire in 2025 but has returned in good heart this season, making the frame again when good second of 7 in handicap (5/1) at Epsom (6f, good) 8 days ago. He can race off the same mark here and looks sure to go well again.
Mumayaz (IRE)
Rejoined this yard from James Owen in March and ran out an easy winner over C&D in May. Rather been a mixed bag since but is now within 1 lb of his last winning mark.
Trust Amy (IRE)
Scored in 6f Chester novice last season but has rarely threatened since. Makes limited appeal despite easing mark.
Brazen Idol
Off nearly 2 years prior to return, proving he retains his ability when runner-up twice from first 4 starts. Disappointed in more recent outings, though.
Yachtsman
Off the mark at Windsor (6f) in May and shaped as if back in form when respectable fourth of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, AW) 19 days ago. Respected.
Eyes Front (IRE)
Posted a career best when belatedly off the mark at Epsom (7f) in July. Wasn't in quite same form at same course last time but he remains fairly treated and looks worth another crack at this shorter trip.
Court Alert (IRE)
Fairly useful runner-up in valuable sales race at Newmarket (6f) last summer but well below that level this term, including on handicap debut at Windsor latest.
Arctic Wind
Fair form at 2 yrs for David Menuisier but yet to fully find his best form for current connections, albeit not seen to best effect at Lingfield latest. Others more convincing.
Valentine Catcher
Enduring a lengthy barren spell but has come down the weights this year and posted a season's best when third of 13 in handicap at Hamilton (6f, good to soft) 6 days ago, running on. Enters calculations.
Nebbia
Acquitted herself well on first 2 starts this season, beaten only by a handicap debutant in 6-runner contest at this course (5f) in June. Not in same form since, however, and has a bit to prove at present.
Tomarlo
Got off the mark for Ollie Sangster at Wolverhampton (6f) in July. Not in same form under a penalty at Chepstow next time and now makes debut for new yard. Worth monitoring in the market.
Trust Sergei
Won at Wolverhampton (6f) in June and didn't seem suited by the return to 7f when well held at Chester next time. Fewer excuses since, though.
