SYOSSET remains winless following nine attempts over hurdles, but has done little wrong in handicaps this season and is taken to record a deserved first success in this sphere fitted with first-time cheekpieces. Front-runner Hello Sweety promises to be well suited by the sharp nature of Bangor providing the rain stays away and is feared most ahead of hat-trick seeker Roarin' Success.

Quirky sort who was typically ridden positively when making it 3 wins on the bounce at Fakenham (following a second breathing operation) at the end of May. Creditable efforts in defeat at Market Rasen since and should be well suited by this track providing the rain stays away.
Eremenko
Well-bred mare who won a bumper and a mares maiden hurdle for Nicky Henderson last season. Bought by new connections for £8,000 and was ridden too aggressively when fourth of 9 in a novice hurdle at Cartmel (17f, good to soft) on yard debut in June. Had breathing operation since.
Roarin' Success
Fairly useful Flat form and, with a tongue tie added, came good at the second time of asking in handicap hurdles when seeing off 13 rivals at Stratford (2m) in June. Overcame a series of mistakes to follow up over a 4f longer trip there last time and merits respect in hat-trick bid.
Uhtred Ragnarson (IRE)
Shaped better than on his reappearance when third in a 6-runner handicap hurdle at Stratford (2m) in June. Didn't get home upped in trip at Uttoxeter (2½m) latest.
Playful Fox (FR)
Much improved this summer, taking 2m Stratford handicap hurdle and resuming winning ways sent off at 2/13 with bloodless success in Newton Abbot novice 17 days ago. Has more on his plate back in handicap company but it would be no surprise to see him go well again.
Syosset (IRE)
Steadily progressive 5-y-o who was unlucky to bump into a handicap blot in 16-runner event at Cork (17f) on penultimate outing and again ran well when third at Kilbeggan only 5 days later. Remains of interest in first-time cheekpieces.
