Timeform View

JIAIR MADRIK arrives here firmly on the up and this uncomplicated front runner representing a yard with an excellent record at this track may well add to his winning sequence. Country Park remains of interest as a chaser, with Lermoos Legend also considered back up in trip.

Timeform Comments

Country Park (IRE)
Clumsy sort over hurdles but has taken well to chasing, winning second time out in 4-runner handicap chase over C&D in June. Left with too much to do in relation to the 2 other principals when third at Uttoxeter since and he remains one to be positive about over fences.
Lermoos Legend
Won twice around this time last year and left the impression he should have finished closer still when third of 6 in handicap chase at Cartmel in July. Bumped into a thriving one back there 10 days ago (17f) and return to this sort of trip is in his favour.
Jiair Madrik (FR)
Landed a hat-trick of 2½m wins at Uttoxeter and Worcester, beating Ice Jet by a short head at former track in July on latest. Has gone up a total of 17 lb for those 3 successes but could still take some pegging back if allowed to dominate.
Duel Au Soleil (FR)
Won on handicap hurdle debut at Wetherby (21f) last season and matched that form on first 2 starts over the larger obstacles. Backward step despite finishing second at Stratford in July and blinkers now replace visor.
Disco Davis (FR)
Looked like one with problems during latter time for Dan Skelton so no surprise he's failed badly to match form achieved on chase debut both starts since.
