Birthday Angel (IRE)
Off the mark at Brighton last autumn before landing a pair of handicap hurdles in November. Back on the Flat, returned from 6 months off with a good second at Lingfield (1¼m, heavy) in June, so can make his presence felt back down in grade.
Uzincso
Winner of this race last year, his seventh course success. Has shown that he's still capable of fair form this season, making the frame on his last 3 starts, and is a major player back here having dropped below his last winning mark.
Maywedance (IRE)
Both wins over 1½m at this course, the latest in May. Continued in good heart next 3 outings, but shaped as if amiss when well held at Lingfield (13f) 25 days ago. Cheekpieces quickly reapplied.
Battle Hymn (IRE)
Sent off favourite on debut but looked in need of the experience when fourth of 6 in novice at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in March. Has been well beaten both subsequent outings, though. Needs to get back on track as he goes handicapping after 8 weeks off.
Tinsel
Showed improved form when opening his account in a nursery at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in December. Fared better than on first 2 starts this season when fourth of 11 in handicap at this course (1½m) 2 weeks ago. Cheekpieces now added.
Goldfinder
Gradually progressive when making the frame first 5 starts, going close in handicap at Wolverhampton (1½m) in June. Hasn't been seen to best effect the last twice, rearing leaving the stalls at Windsor 11 days ago, so could bounce back returned to all-weather with cheekpieces on.
Backer Bilk
Largely consistent on the all-weather in 2025 but mixed record over hurdles this year. Back on the Flat, ran poorly on debut for this yard but left that effort behind when fourth of 7 at Lingfield 15 days ago. On a handy mark based on pick of his form.
Minerality
Fitted with cheekpieces for second handicap start, found some improvement when third of 7 on all-weather at Lingfield 15 days ago. Could still have more to offer with blinkers now the choice of headgear.
Luminous Approach (IRE)
Only modest form so far, going backwards from his reappearance when ninth of 10 in handicap at this course (1m) in July. Has something to find up in distance.
Katalyst
Maiden who bounced back to form when narrowly denied at Nottingham (9f) in July. However, isn't straightforward and has run poorly the last twice, so she comes with risks attached despite having eased further in the weights.
Brave New World (IRE)
Little impact in a trio of novices, but failed to improve for the switch to handicaps when last of 5 at Ffos Las (1m) in August. Now upped further in trip.
Wyvill
No better than mid-division in his 3 qualifying runs, seventh of 10 in novice at Southwell (1m) 24 days ago. However, the market could be informative upped in trip for handicap debut.
