Timeform View

Perhaps the unexposed handicap newcomers will come to the fore, with Newmarket raider GOLDEN CAVIAR preferred to Ian Jardine's Al Fujairah. Sweet Kiss went close over C&D last time and is next on the list.

Timeform Comments

Titian (IRE)
Well treated on the form he showed when winning at York last summer but this regular slow starter isn't one for maximum faith.
Golden Caviar (IRE)
Has hinted at promise in his 3 qualifying runs and appeals as a likely improver in handicaps. Gets the vote on the back of a gelding operation.
Al Fujairah (IRE)
Churchill gelding who took a small step forward when 3 lengths second of 8 in 1m maiden at Hamilton last month. Has stamina in his pedigree so this step up to 1¼m should suit now handicapping. Potential improver.
Sutton Hoo (IRE)
Won an all-weather maiden in Ireland for Natalia Lupini in February but well held in 2 turf handicaps there since. Changed hands for £2500 in July ahead of this first run for new yard with a visor added (also gelded).
Sweet Kiss
Enjoyed a productive spell when scoring 3 times over this trip last year. Good runner-up efforts on 2 of her last 3 outings, latterly going down by only a nose over C&D in first-time cheekpieces (retained). Likely to be on the premises.
Idyllic
Good third of 12 in handicap at Ayr (1¼m, good) last month and not disgraced when sixth of 9 over 11f at Carlisle (good to firm) 13 days ago. fading late on having had no cover on the outside of the pack.
Lady Hornblower
Beverley maiden winner last year but has found life tougher in handicaps this time round. A first-time visor needs to have a positive effect.
Cosmic Man (IRE)
Has made an underwhelming start in handicaps this season and has also hinted at temperament. First-time blinkers need to have a positive effect.
Hey Havana (IRE)
Running with credit without winning this season, including third of 9 in handicap at Carlisle (11f, good to firm) 13 days ago
