PISANELLO continued his good spell despite having his winning run ended when runner-up at Leicester last month and David O'Meara's 9-y-o can add a fourth success of the season to his tally from an unchanged mark. Here Comes Louie is a 3-y-o knocking at the door, so he heads up the dangers, with Falcon Nine, The New Bay Pearl and Yafaarr just a handful of others to consider, too.

Still a maiden but has plenty of creditable efforts in handicaps, including when third at Carlisle in May (hung left). Again didn't look totally straightforward when eighth of 9 at Beverley (1¼m, good to firm) in July and his wait for a first success looks set to continue.
Degale
Free-going type whose sole success came at Ripon in summer 2024. Tongue tied and ran better than for a while reverted to more positive tactics when third of 5 at Nottingham in July but shaped as if amiss at Thirsk a fortnight later. Handicapper drops him another chunk.
Yafaarr (IRE)
C&D winner in June and creditable placed efforts on next 2 starts. Has followed that with a couple of subdued efforts over 1¼m but should fare better returned to this trip. Cheekpieces reapplied.
We've Got This (IRE)
Best run this season when third of 10 at Thirsk (7f) in early-July but unable to build on that back down in grade when fifth of 8 at Doncaster (1m, good to firm) 3 weeks later. Hopes pinned on first-time tongue tie working the oracle.
Perfidia (IRE)
Notched up a second win of the season when making all at Nottingham in June. Has run well in 3 of his 4 subsequent starts, most recently when third of 8 at Carlisle (1m, good to firm) last month. Each-way claims once again.
Pisanello (IRE)
Finally took advantage of a much-reduced mark, and refitting of a visor, when recording a hat-trick at this track (2 wins) and Hamilton in recent weeks. Not seen to best effect but remained in form when second of 6 at Leicester (1¼m) last month and should be in the mix again returned to 1m.
Beckon
Won a Newcastle novice in December prior to finishing third in 7f Southwell handicap on all-weather in the spring but as made a most discouraging start on turf for current yard.
Falcon Nine
Recorded back-to-back wins last summer and threatening to come good soon, finishing runner-up 3 times in a row prior to his latest outing. That effort is easy to put a line through (raced wide without cover) so every chance he will be on the premises.
Eeetee (IRE)
Four-time course winner but little encouragement to glean from both outings this season, too free in reapplied headgear at Ayr (1m, good to firm) most recently. Handicapper given him a chance but needs to show plenty more before becoming of interest.
Rwenearlytheredad
Completed a hat-trick when winning at Carlisle on last season's return. Hasn't been able to match that form since, not getting the rub of the green having been well backed when fifth of 10 at the same course (7f, good to soft) 3 months ago. Hard to know what to expect in truth.
Sunny Orange (IRE)
Regained winning thread at Beverley in April and has held his form admirably well this season, meeting his match behind a couple of in-form 3-y-os at Ripon last month. Dipped below his level for much of the summer at former track a fortnight on but did enough to believe he remains in form.
Captain Corelli (IRE)
Successful on 4 of his 5 starts on turf during 2024 (including over C&D) but failed to find the same form last year. Has had a breathing operation ahead of this belated reappearance.
Leelawadee
Showed improved form making handicap debut when second of 4 at Thirsk (1m) in July, going close to reeling in one who had the run of the race. Sent off favourite but finished tailed off at Carlisle (7f, good to firm) since though. Bounce back required.
Havana Mojito
All 3 career victories at Brighton and runner-up 3 there this season. Also found only one too strong at Doncaster in July but ran a shocker back at former course (7f, good) 5 weeks ago, not obviously any more keen than usual. Can get back on track.
The New Bay Pearl
Placed 3 times last year for Roger Varian. Has steadily found her form for current yard and posted her fourth in-frame effort in a row when third of 13 at Beverley (7.5f, good) 4 weeks ago. Reliable so she's one to consider.
Yoko
Modest form for David Evans last season. Not long with this yard and produced her best effort to date when fourth of 11 in handicap at Yarmouth (7f, good) 10 days ago. Worth a second look with this 1m trip promising to suit.
Fate's Gambit (IRE)
Fair form at best in Ireland for Robson De Aguiar. Shaped with some encouragement on first outing for new connections when fourth of 10 in handicap at Carlisle (7f, good to soft) 3 weeks ago and could build on that returned to 1m.
Balmoral Boy (IRE)
Ran his best race when second of 7 in handicap at Ripon in July but failed to back that up at Musselburgh (9f, good to firm) a month later. Drops back in trip and First-time cheekpieces could see him get back on the right path.
Oilisa
Dual winner (around 1m) last October. Little impact on first couple of starts this year but more like it without returning to her best when fifth of 11 at Beverley (8.5f, good to firm) in May. Will need to hit the ground running.
Here Comes Louie
Still a maiden but ran well to add to his collection of placed efforts when third of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (1m) last week. Knocking at the door so he's of interest back on turf.
