Timeform View

DELULU was unlucky not to make a winning start over C&D and she can make amends at the chief of expense of dual point winner Spanish Darling, who stayed on into third in that same race. Jaunty Trooper might prove best of the rest.

Timeform Comments

Chase The Status (IRE)
€16,000 3-y-o. Califet gelding. Second foal. Dam unraced half-sister to smart hurdler/very smart chaser (stayed 3m) No More Heroes and unreliable but fairly useful hurdler/chaser (stays 3m) Bridge North (by Sholokhov). Third on second of 2 starts in point bumpers (Apr 4). Others preferred.
Jaunty Trooper
Made an inauspicious start to his career, unseating rider soon after the start in bumper at Uttoxeter (when trained by his owner) but showed more after joining Cath Williams when sixth of 10 in similar event over this C&D (good, 125/1) 18 days ago.
Spanish Darling (FR)
€22,000 3-y-o, Spanish Moon gelding. Successful twice from 4 starts in points and kept on well to be nearest at the finish when third in a C&D bumper on recent debut (Delulu second). Should improve with tongue strap retained.
Wannabe Sporty
£5,000 3-y-o, Passing Glance gelding. Dam (h114) bumper/2m hurdle winner. Not an obvious debut winner.
Gilwen Georgia
Telescope mare. Dam (c84/h111) bumper/19f-3m hurdle winner. Wears hood. Yard would not be associated with debut winners.
Delulu
Dink filly who was unlucky not to collect when short-head second of 10 in a C&D bumper on debut 18 days ago, left poorly placed and meeting some trouble before finishing with a flourish. Should improve and looks the one to beat.
Emilyfromtheknoll
Linda's Lad filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including fair 2¾m hurdle winner Marty Byrde and 17f bumper winner/fair hurdler Iontach Cheval. Others preferred.
Lizziemouth
Dartmouth filly. Dam no sign of ability in bumper/over hurdles. Not much to shout about on paper.
Megatothemax (IRE)
Maxios filly. Promising start when third in bumper at Newton Abbot in June but was subsequently sold from Nick Scholfield for only 12,000 gns and took a backwards step when sixth of 9 at Sedgefield 2 weeks ago. Now hooded.
