UNDISCOVERED struggled in Group 2 company last time but he looked highly promising when winning twice at Salisbury earlier in the summer and can get back on track returned to these calmer waters. Goodwood maiden winner Rafe's Da Man is open to progress stepping in to nursery company, while wide-margin Chepstow winner Midgham Man also merits serious respect in a competitive event.

Timeform Comments

Kach Above
Got off the mark in 10-runner maiden at Leicester (7f, good) in June and followed up in 7f Chester nursery (good to firm) a month later. Progressed further when 3¼ lengths fourth of 10 to Alfred Wallace in listed race at Ascot (7f, good to firm, 40/1) 48 days ago. NON RUNNER.
Undiscovered (IRE)
Looked very promising when winning 2 novice events at Salisbury (6f/7f) earlier this summer. Seemed to find the company too hot when 13 lengths last of 6 to Dr Rascal in Vintage Stakes at Goodwood (7f, good to firm) 44 days ago but opening mark looks very workable on the back of a gelding operation.
Rafe's Da Man
Good-looking son of Ghaiyyath who is learning by the run, continuing theme of race-by-race progress when off the mark in 7f Glorious Goodwood maiden last month. His limit may not have been reached and he's open to progress in nurseries.
Weekend Roar (IRE)
Promising third on debut at Salisbury before confirming that potential to win a 6-runner novice at Newmarket. Fourth of 11 in a valuable sales event at Naas (6f) next time but had his limitations exposed when down the field in a similar race at York 3 weeks ago. Others preferred on nursery debut.
Fuel The Jet (IRE)
Again proved headstrong but built on a promising debut when knuckling down well to score at Newbury (7f) in July. Still too raw to make an impact in the Acomb Stakes at York (7f, good, 18/1) 22 days ago. Opening mark looks fair.
Midgham Man
Has improved with each run so far and built on his fourth in strong Ffos Las novice when the 10-length winner of a 5-runner maiden at Chepstow (7f, soft) 12 days ago. That's not the easiest form to weigh up, so there's a real chance he's been let into nurseries from a lenient opening mark.
Storm Blade
Hails from a family connections know well and produced an improved effort on qualifying run when second of 6 in maiden at Chester (7f, good to firm) 47 days ago. Can progress again now in a nursery.
Love Rome (IRE)
St Mark's Basilica colt has improved with each run so far, beaten by just a neck when second of 6 on nursery debut at Leicester (7f, good to firm) 32 days ago. This is much tougher but he's hard to discount now sporting cheekpieces.
Sanbona Warrior (IRE)
Promising start when second at Kempton and held off a couple of next-time-out winners when going one better at Doncaster (7f, firm) in July. Below expectations from what looked a lenient opening mark when fourth of 7 in nursery at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) 33 days ago. Cheekpieces go on.
