Timeform View

MAKE IT UP upped his game when going down by just a head over C&D a couple of months ago and returning from a break with his stable absolutely flying, William Knight's 3-y-o is fancied to get off the mark. He faces a few in-form rivals here though, with Boston Run, Highland Harvey and Pride Eye all expected to give the selection plenty to think about.

Timeform Comments

Boston Run (IRE)
Confirmed previous promise and capitalised on a much-reduced mark to belatedly open his account in 7-runner event at this course (1¼m) last week, having the run of the race. Fancied to go close again under a 5-lb penalty.
Highland Harvey (IRE)
Has held his form well since coming to Britain, finally shedding the maiden tag in an 11.5f classified event at Yarmouth in July. Good placed efforts all 4 starts since, having every chance when second of 8 at Brighton (1½m, good) 9 days ago. In the mix.
Pride Eye
Caused 66/1 shock over 1m at Southwell in January and got as close as she has since minus her usual tongue tie when second of 13 in classified event here (1¼m) a fortnight ago, just falling short as she tried to reel in a more prominently-ridden rival. Respected back up in trip.
Arlecchino's Rex
Does most of his racing at Wolverhampton, finally doubling his career tally over 9.5f in March. Did enough to suggest that 1¼m is within reach at the first attempt when seventh of 12 at this course last month but this extra 2f asks another question.
Master Of Puppets (FR)
Failed to show any ability in 3 starts last summer. Can only be watched upped in trip on yard/all-weather debut.
Pablo Prince
Not the same force as when successful 3 times over C&D in 2022/23. Hit the frame a couple of times this year but his recent profile is off-putting.
Pure Theory
Long-standing and uninteresting maiden.
Make It Up (IRE)
Ran best race dropped in grade having been sent off favourite when second of 13 in classified event over C&D a couple of months ago. Returns with stable in red-hot form so fancied to make his mark back in a handicap.
Mister Pretentious
Took a big step forward when second of 9 in handicap at Windsor (11.5f, good to firm) last month. Back on all-weather and can go well nudged up 1 lb in his bid for a first success.
