Timeform View

LADY GORMIRE had been held back by racing too freely but settled better when off the mark under a positive ride at Catterick 16 days ago. She's well drawn to employ the same tactics here and could dominate matters. So Sassy won back-to-back handicaps on all-weather at Wolverhampton recently and is thriving but now switches to turf, whilst Sugar Sugar merits respect if she's in the mood.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Moonlight Melody traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 4 starts: Diamont Katie traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Hilltop
Consistent since winning at Newcastle in March, running creditably when third of 7 at Newmarket in a handicap 21 days ago. Poorly drawn here, though, and looks vulnerable to better-treated/less-exposed rivals.
So Sassy (IRE)
Completed a double in handicaps for thriving yard when scoring over 7f on all-weather at Wolverhampton in July and August. Up 5 lb here and needs to prove she's quite so effective on turf but more than capable from a handy draw if doing so.
Diamont Katie (IRE)
Good efforts when twice second in last 3 starts, including over 7f at Musselburgh in June then in a handicap over 6f on soft going at Hamilton 9 days ago. Step back up to 7f will be fine and her stable is going through a very good spell.
Kindest Nation (IRE)
Won this in 2024 but her starting has gone to pot, regularly hampering her chance in races. Showed when third at Kempton last month that she could still take a hand if things drop right but she's hard to fancy given her trait and stall 10 with headgear discarded.
Homestrait (IRE)
Resumed winning ways at Haydock 7 days ago with her best effort yet on heavy ground, perhaps helped by others sticking to the far rail. Penalty to contend with and needs to back up that progress faced with a different track.
Bami (IRE)
Progressive filly who won a handicap at Newbury in June after 6 months off, then produced good second of 7 at Newmarket 21 days ago. Can continue to run with credit but has a very difficult draw to deal with.
Mollie Foster (IRE)
Won at Southwell over 1m in October but going through the motions this year and needs first-time cheekpieces to spark a revival.
Ghisa (IRE)
Good efforts on all-weather when third all 3 starts in handicaps and is well drawn, so if she can transfer that form to turf then she's capable of taking a hand.
Rogue Citation (IRE)
Two-time winner from just 6 starts but didn't look entirely straightforward when gaining her second success at Newmarket 35 days ago. Looked held by 3 lb rise in the weights when fourth at same track last time and will need to take another step forward.
Lady Gormire (IRE)
Responded well to a positive ride when getting off the mark in maiden at Catterick 16 days ago. Returns to handicap company with a good draw to attack from and the right style for this track so could well have more to offer if building on that and coping with the likely softer going.
Moonlight Melody
Handicap debut for this lightly-raced filly who was fourth of 7 over C&D in July then third of 8 to Lady Gormire in a maiden at Catterick 16 days ago. Bred for middle distances and will likely find this too sharp.
Emery Down
Finally opened her account in handicaps when winning comfortably at Chepstow 13 days ago, looking suited by soft going. Up 9 lb for that success and may get similar underfoot conditions here, but stall 13 is absolutely no help.
Imelda (IRE)
Promise despite little luck with draw and wide trips around here the last 2 starts, including when third to 2 next-time-out winners in a maiden here in May. She's much better berthed this time so isn't one to rule out.
Sugar Sugar (IRE)
Off the mark at Epsom on handicap debut in July but hasn't convinced with her attitude and she hung left and was outbattled when second of 10 upped to this trip at Lingfield last time. Holds form claims but temperament remains a concern.
