Timeform View

This is wide open but IMMUTABLE rates just the pick of the weights on the back of a very good Galway second and is taken to end his losing run. Aidan O'Brien's Port of Spain heads the list of dangers in search of his own first success of the season, although Truth Be Told, This Songisforyou and Wyman also need factoring into this highly competitive handicap.

Timeform Comments

The Reverend
Ended time with William Haggas with wins at Ripon and Haydock (valuable handicap over 1¾m) last summer. Successful over hurdles for current yard in January and certainly of interest back on Flat in first-time tongue tie after 7 months off.
Poetic Sound (IRE)
Latest win at the Curragh in June. 40/1 and cheekpieces on for first time, seventeenth of 22 in Ebor at York (1¾m, good) 21 days ago, not for the first time looking laboured. Bounce back needed.
This Songisforyou (USA)
Lightly-raced for his age and winless since 2024 but a good ninth of 18 in valuable handicap at Galway (1½m, soft) 43 days ago, left with too much to do. Not out of things for shrewd yard.
Comfort Zone (IRE)
Useful in both codes at his best. Successful in staying handicap at Galway in July but below form thirteenth of 20 in listed handicap hurdle there later in the week. Second in this in 2023 but down the field in 2024 and 2025. Others preferred.
Counting Coup (IRE)
Made it 2-3 on Flat in 6-runner minor event at Galway (1¾m, soft) 43 days ago. Needs to take another step forward on his handicap debut but it's possible.
Dawn Rising (IRE)
Eleven runs since last win in 2024. Last of 18 in handicap at Galway (1½m, soft, 33/1) 43 days ago. Tongue strap goes back on with lots more needed.
Evanesco
2 wins from 6 runs this year, posting a career best when landing 13-runner handicap at Hamilton (1½m, good) 22 days ago. Not ruled out.
Port Of Spain (IRE)
Arrives on back of an excellent neck second of 9 to Minella Rockett in handicap at Naas (11f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Should get a strong gallop again and bold bid expected nudged up 1 lb.
Glenroyal (IRE)
A 3-time winner in 2025. Creditable eighth of 20 to Comfort Zone in handicap at Galway (17f, good to soft) 47 days ago. Back down in trip and possibilities.
Helvic Dream (IRE)
Useful at his best and first past the post in the 2025 Galway Hurdle. Creditable sixth of 20 in that event at Galway (2m, good to soft) 44 days ago. No forlorn hope back on the Flat.
Westminster Moon (IRE)
Had some smart form in Germany prior to joining shrewd connections and landed a gamble at the Curragh (1¾m) in late-May. Creditable fourth of 16 in handicap at York (2m, good to soft) 24 days ago. Not out of things back in trip.
Cannes (IRE)
Course winner in May. Good second of 9 to Highwayman in listed race here (1¾m, good) 23 days ago. Needs to build on it back in a handicap.
Truth Be Told (IRE)
Much improved for his new yard this season, scoring here (1¼m) in May and posting an excellent second of 9 to War Rooms in handicap at Ballinrobe (13f, good) in July when conceding first run. Shouldn't be underestimated despite a 3 lb rise.
Factual Fact (FR)
Winner at Killarney in May. Good third of 10 in handicap there (14f, good) 22 days ago but this is even tougher.
War Rooms (IRE)
Latest win at Ballinrobe in July, beating Truth Be Told. 14/1, good sixth of 10 in handicap at Killarney (14f, good) 22 days ago, nearest finish. Could make his presence felt again.
Wyman (IRE)
C&D winner. 10/3 and cheekpieces on for first time, respectable fourth of 9 to Highwayman in listed race here (1¾m, good) 23 days ago, not so strong at the finish. Couldn't dismiss on his handicap debut.
Too Bossy For Us (IRE)
Shaping well on the Flat this season, sixth to Comfort Zone in 2m Galway handicap in July. Again disappointing over hurdles in the Galway Hurdle there later in the week but could bounce back.
Madbadanddangerous (IRE)
Second success this year when scoring at Galway in July. Not disgraced when sixth of 9 to Highwayman in listed race here (1¾m, good) 23 days ago. Considered back in handicap company.
Immutable (IRE)
Winless this season but he is knocking on the door, very good second of 18 in valuable handicap at Galway (1½m, soft) in July, finding only a progressive 3-y-o from the Willie Mullins yard too strong. A player off an unchanged mark.
Night Moon (GER)
Scored at Fairyhouse in June and backed it up with a good third of 18 in handicap at Galway (1½m, soft) last time, edged out for second by Immutable. Got to be considered.
Star Harbour (IRE)
Twenty five runs since last win in 2024 but he posted a creditable second of 14 in handicap at Dundalk 4 weeks ago. This is a whole lot tougher back up in trip.
Yousaynothingatall (IRE)
Gained a second win this year in 11-runner handicap at the Curragh (1½m, good) 21 days ago. This demands more up 5 lb but she can't be dismissed.
Sunny South West (IRE)
Bumper/hurdles winner during first half of 2025 and shaping encouragingly on the Flat in recent weeks, runner-up in Galway maiden (1½m, soft) before a solid fifth of 14 in maiden at Roscommon (1½m, good) 25 days ago. Likely better to come on handicap debut.
Diamond Exchange (IRE)
Ganed a third win of 2026 at Naas in August. 4/1, well-beaten eighth in handicap there (11f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Stamina to prove and plenty on her plate. RESERVE.
Minella Rockett (IRE)
2 wins from 4 runs this year, posting a career best when landing 9-runner handicap at Naas (11f, good to firm) 20 days ago by neck from Port of Spain. Got to be in the mix. RESERVE.
En Or (FR)
Well beaten in 2 Flat runs this season before a respectable second of 20 in novice hurdle at Galway (17f, good to soft) 5 days ago. Needs to reproduce it back in this sphere now. RESERVE.
