William Haggas has a 70% strike rate in 2-y-o maiden/novice races at this track and his EXTRAGALACTIC should go one better than on debut at Yarmouth. Vegasmile and Showcasing Glory look the most likely dangers.

Timeform Comments

Extragalactic (IRE)
Breeze-up purchase who was prominent in the betting and duly went close on debut at Yarmouth (7f). A repeat effort should be enough to take this for a yard who are 7 from 10 with 2-y-os in maiden/novice races here.
Showcasing Glory (IRE)
30,000 gns yearling. Showcasing colt. Brother to smart 6f (including at 2 yrs) winner Swingalong and half-brother to several winners, including useful 7.4f/1m winner Manaabit and 9f winner Leisurewear. Dam 7f-1m winner. Makes appeal on pedigree and yard had a couple of newcomers run well this week.
Vegasmile (IRE)
Never really looked like justifying strong support when 4 lengths fourth of 10 over C&D on debut. Clearly thought capable of better by excellent yard, and no surprise to see improvement second time up.
Veloxian (IRE)
Foaled April 13. €30,000 yearling, Supremacy colt. Half-brother to Italian winner up to 1¼m Ladise, also won over fences there. Dam, third at 1¼m, half-sister to useful winner up to 7f Spirit of Battle. Stable hasn't had many 2-y-o debutants of late, and this is likely to be one for the longer term.
Hope Of Acklam
Showed a lot more second time up when narrow runner-up in a Redcar seller (7f). Has more on his plate back in maiden company, though.
Persian Summer (IRE)
Foaled March 5. 18,000 gns yearling, Persian Force colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart 5f/6f winner Jakajaro and 16.2f winner Stand Strong. Yard's juveniles having typically been needing the run of late.
Pirates Whisper (IRE)
Foaled May 1. €17,000 2-y-o, Blackbeard gelding. Half-brother to smart winner up to 1m Northern Express (2-y-o 7.4f winner) and 1m winner Charming Princess (by Wootton Bassett). Dam winner up to 8.3f (2-y-o 6f winner). Bred to make an impact at 2, but that'll likely be in nurseries.
So Farhh
Foaled February 9. 3,000 gns yearling, Wells Farhh Go gelding. Dam 5.7f/6f winner (including at 2 yrs). Cheap purchase is probably up against it on racecourse bow.
Luna Lacy (IRE)
Minzaal filly offered something to work on when beaten 7 lengths on debut at Beverley (7f, heavy, 28/1). Plenty to find on bare form, but she's the type to do better at some stage.
