Timeform View

WHO IS ALICE found things a bit easier taking on her elders for the first time when third over C&D recently and is put forward as the answer from a 2 lb lower mark, especially with a handy 5-lb claimer now taking over in the saddle. Amarachi shaped better than the distance beaten suggests on last month's return at Beverley and must enter calculations in first-time cheekpieces, while Freedom Bay, a C&D winner earlier in the summer, can also figure if casting aside a lesser effort at Lingfield.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Mooretown Lad traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts: Coiled traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP on 2 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Desert Charm
Back to winning ways at Chepstow in June and followed up in a classified event at Lingfield 12 days later. Edged out only on the line when bidding for the hat-trick at Salisbury (1m, good) last month but was set for a below-par effort even before some late interference at Chepstow last time.
Amarachi (IRE)
Runner-up on 3 of her first 4 starts this year, including when beaten only a neck at Chelmsford in February. Shaped better than the distance beaten suggests returning from a 6-month absence at Beverley recently. Cheekpieces on for 1st time and must enter the reckoning.
Typeface
Not the easiest to win with of late but again ran respectably in first-time cheekpieces when third of 6 in handicap at Leicester (1¼m, good to firm) 52 days ago. Should remain competitive back down in trip.
Thai Princess
Looked limited for Andrew Balding and went with no encouragement on first outing since leaving that yard when tenth of 11 in handicap (66/1) at Ffos Las (1¼m, good to soft) 15 days ago. Others more persuasive.
Who Is Alice
Found things a bit easier taking on her elders for the first time when third of 11 in a handicap (40/1) over C&D (good) 10 days ago. Merits consideration from a 2 lb lower mark with handy 5-lb claimer taking over in the saddle.
Quite Sweet (FR)
Off the mark making her second handicap start at Southwell (1m) in October but largely disappointing since, proving too free back up in trip at Brighton (1¼m) on most recent outing.
Freedom Bay
Reacted well to a tongue strap and cheekpieces combination, winning over C&D in June and placed on next 2 outings. Failed to land a blow at Lingfield last time but may bounce back.
Eye Of The Water (IRE)
Veteran on a long losing run and seems to be going through the motions at present, finishing fifth of 11 in 7f handicap at Chepstow latest.
Rival
Made the frame 4 times last summer. However, hasn't fired in 4 starts this season and easy enough to look elsewhere in refitted headgear.
Coiled (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who returned to form from out of the blue when third of 12 in classified event at Lingfield last month, though was quickly back in the doldrums there on Thursday.
Mooretown Lad (IRE)
Quickly returned to form back at 1m when second at Chepstow in June. Shaped as if still in good form at Ffos Las 17 days later but ran poorly there on most recent outing.
Girls Allowed (IRE)
Ran her best race to go close in a 7f classified event at Yarmouth in August. Fitted with cheekpieces and possibly amiss when backing out of things rather sharply at Brighton since.
Lady V (IRE)
Showed a bit more than previously on qualifying run at Windsor but well beaten on handicap debut at Chepstow since.
Savvi Row
Has shown little on all 4 starts on the all-weather, including on handicap debut at Chelmsford when last seen in February. Switches to turf now and makes little appeal.
