THIS MOMENT progressed again kept to the minimum trip when following up his breakthrough Newcastle victory at Thirsk 7 days ago and a bold bid to land the hat-trick looks on the cards from the plum draw in stall 1. Paper View looked an unlucky loser when third at Windsor on his latest outing 4 weeks ago and remains of interest, with Rotelle completing the shortlist in what is a competitive nursery.

Timeform Comments

This Moment (IRE)
Improving Showcasing gelding who was well served by the drop to 5f when opening his account from the front at Newcastle (5f) in August. Had little trouble defying a 4 lb rise when following up at Thirsk (5f) last week and he ought to take some stopping in hat-trick bid from plum draw.
Quillan (IRE)
Kodi Bear colt who showed improved form to make it 2-2 in novice company at Ripon (5f) in July, defeating a next-time-out winner in the process. Lost unbeaten record when midfield in York sales race since but opening mark looks workable now handicapping for all his draw makes things tricky.
Underdog
Perfect Power colt who made a winning debut in a Sandown novice (5f) in June. Largely struggled in Group/listed events after but he ran respectably without ever appearing entirely at ease when ninth in big field York nursery (6f) 24 days ago. Easier surface rates a plus but stall 10 not ideal.
Peaceful Warrior (IRE)
Knew his job and made a successful debut in 8-runner novice at Yarmouth (6f, good) in May. Couldn't dominate a better race at Ascot next time and having been gelded, it was a similar story when down the field on nursery debut at York (6f) 24 days ago. Drop to 5f may help from handy draw in stall 2.
Towelontheterrace (IRE)
All the better for debut when making all in 12-runner novice here in July. No more than fair efforts both starts since, unable to secure the lead and weakening out of contention when tenth of 18 on nursery debut at York (6f) 24 days ago. Eased 2 lb ahead of this at least and stable do well here.
Rotelle
Edged out a now useful sort when scoring with a bit to spare on debut at Nottingham in the spring and return to softer ground/application of cheekpieces saw him post best effort yet when second on nursery bow at Sandown (5f) 2 weeks ago. Should go well again nudged up 2 lb.
Paper View (IRE)
On the up since a gelding operation, supplementing his Nottingham maiden victory on nursery bow at Ripon (6f) in July. Not disgraced at Glorious Goodwood next time and looked most unlucky not to add to his tally when third at Windsor (5f) 24 days ago (no room from 2f out). Bold showing anticipated.
May Bee In Profit
Stylish winner of Carlisle novice (5f) in May and dispelled 2 distinctly lesser efforts on turf/all-weather when resuming winning ways at Ripon (5f) 11 days ago, the return to a softer surface looking significant. Up 5 lb in a stronger race and forecast conditions again in her favour.
Deputy Vice (IRE)
Mehmas gelding who has failed to build on a promising debut third in 6f novice here in May, including fading into a well-held third at Haydock (6f) in a first-time tongue tie (retained) 9 days ago. May tighten up for that given it was his first start for 10 weeks and drop to 5f worth exploring.
Naval Cop
Hails from talented sprinting family and despite being easy to back, she improved a fair bit to make a winning nursery debut at Chepstow (5f, soft) 12 days ago, closed down only late on. That isn't the most solid piece of form but she's started from a modest mark and is entitled to progress further.
