MAHARAJAS EXPRESS has done nothing wrong in defeat on his last 2 outings and can gain reward with a second success of the season. The consistent Rock of England should be on the premises once more, with Smart Vision and Mighty Magnus also worth considering.

Timeform Comments

Mighty Magnus (IRE)
Doubled his tally at Musselburgh (5f) in June and bounced back to form having returned to same mark when 1¼-length second of 11 to Boston Dan at Haydock (5f, heavy) last week. Can go well again having been raised just 1 lb.
Rock Of England (IRE)
Has had a productive season with 4 wins from 9 runs, the latest coming in 9-runner handicap at Ripon (5f, good to soft, 11/4) 13 days ago. Up 5 lb for that success, though has won off higher before, and Murphy retains the ride.
Angel Numbers (IRE)
Much improved when winning her first 2 starts for this yard (at Thirsk and Ripon) but ran poorly both outings since. Has a bit to find at present.
Grandlad (IRE)
C&D winner who made all at Nottingham in April on return. In first-time blinkers, got upset in stalls when last of 9 at Goodwood 16 days ago. Cheekpieces now go on and he's been given a chance by the assessor.
Emerald Harmony (IRE)
Had run some good races in defeat after getting off the mark for current yard at Thirsk (5f) in June but produced a below-par effort over that C&D last time. Ran well on previous visit here and can bounce back.
U S S Charleston
Opened turf account at Yarmouth (5f) in May. Found run of good form coming to a halt when beating a sole rival home in 6-runner handicap at Goodwood just 5 days ago. The market has spoken in his favour of late, so may be one to monitor in the betting.
Smart Vision
C&D winner in the mud last autumn from a 12 lb higher mark. Has failed to make much impact this season, with his mark sliding as a result, but recent performances suggest he may be building up to something.
Duran (IRE)
Fifteen runs since last win in 2025. Shaped as if back in form fitted with a first-time visor at York last weekend. Chance on old form if the headgear works again.
Maharajas Express
Found the gaps coming just in time when scoring with a bit up his sleeve at Chester in late-July. Quickly back on track on last 2 starts, finding only one too good at Sandown and York. Looks sure to go well again.
Tanjen (IRE)
After a low-key start to this season, proved as good as ever when capitalising on a lower turf mark in a 7-runner handicap at Hamilton in August. Made the frame at York last week against a couple that reappear here. Each-way claims.
