A fiercely competitive sprint, but KEKE goes well here and remains on a fair mark with a good-value claimer booked so could be worth chancing. The unexposed Bear on The Run is a big danger, with Staysound Susie and Dmaniac also of firm interest, particularly if the rain arrives.

Progressive sprinter who produced a really smart performance to land a third big handicap of the season when winning 20-runner Constantine Handicap at York last month by nose from Far Above Dream, leading final 100 yds and just holding on. Up another 5 lb.
Dark Thirty (IRE)
Won handicaps at York and Chester before posting a career best when chasing home Sondad at this course in July. Disappointing on last 2 starts and needs to be back to his best if he's to feature here under new rider.
Tango Flare (IRE)
Scored at Fairyhouse in June and ran well when ¾-length second to Big Gossey in course listed race next time. Effort best excused when down the field behind Sondad in handicap here 2 months ago, denied a run 2f out. Career best needed if he's to follow up last year's success in this.
Coul Angel (IRE)
Reliable type who won 5 times last year and has been placed on 4 occasions so far this time around, nearest at the finish when length third of 20 to Sondad at York on latest. Seems sure to give his running but others preferred for the win.
Keke
Posted a smart performance when bolting up from the front over 6f at Naas in April and landed another win there in 5f conditions race in July. Has remained in form since (behind Bear on The Run here latest) and still on a good mark with a promising 7 lb claimer booked. Big player.
Unique Journey (IRE)
Dual C&D winner last year. Winless this time around but has found only one too good on 2 occasions, including when chasing home Dunum in a valuable 7f handicap at Galway on latest. Still 6 lb above last successful mark but any rain will be firmly in his favour.
Toyotomi (FR)
Listed winner when trained in France. Got off the mark for current yard at Goodwood (6f, soft) in June and not disgraced under similar conditions after 11 weeks off when sixth of 10 in handicap there a fortnight ago. Remains on a handy mark if able to rediscover his best.
The Highway Rat (IRE)
Made positive start to this season but not so good on last 3 starts. Has been given a chance by the handicapper, though, and now finds himself below his last winning mark.
Thunderbear (IRE)
Won 10-runner listed race at Naas (6f, soft) last year. Not in the same form since but made a positive start for current trainer in first-time tongue strap when 4¾ lengths third of 8 to Moltophino at Navan 8 days ago.
Rosie Frith (IRE)
Has taken her form up to a useful level this year, winning a Bellewstown handicap and producing a career best when also scoring at this course in August. Showed a good attitude last time and any further progress will likely see her firmly in the mix.
Strike Red (IRE)
Grand servant who finished runner-up in the Stewards' Cup in 2025. Has won twice this year without scaling those same heights, latterly seeing off Ferrous by a nose at Hamilton. Found out back in deeper company last time, though, and likely to find this too competitive.
Headmaster
Improved model for current connections. Successful in useful 6f course handicap/solid second in a valuable 7f Cork event in early-summer. Not so good last 2 starts but down 4 lb since last run and a strongly-run race at this trip is likely to prove right up his street.
Dark Ace (IRE)
Progressive sort who won on all-weather at Wolverhampton and Lingfield this spring before excellent thirds in big fields at Newbury (6f) and the Curragh (5f) in early summer. Back on the up when winning 12-runner handicap at Dundalk by 1¾ lengths 29 days ago. Runs off lower turf mark here.
Bear On The Run (IRE)
Lightly-raced and highly-progressive sprinter who shrugged off a year absence when winning 10-runner C&D handicap 3 weeks ago by ¾-length from Moltophino. The runner-up that day has won since and she looks open to further progress upped in grade for in-form yard.
Dmaniac
Dual C&D winner, the latest in March when beating Unique Journey by 3¼ lengths. Failed to justify favouritism back over 5f here next time, but bounced back to form when a neck second of 12 to Key Witness in a 7f event at Cork in May. Races off the same mark and worth a look if the rain comes.
Ocean's Breath (IRE)
Won a 6f Dundalk maiden on reappearance and bounced back from a poor effort to win 7f Fairyhouse minor event in June. Shaped as if still in form when close third at Naas in July. This represents a big step up, though.
Sir Les Patterson
Smart all-weather performer who hasn't made much of an impact on turf this summer but bounced back to form when 2 lengths third of 12 to Dark Ace at Dundalk last time. Reverts to turf from much lower mark and placed in this race last year but others preferred.
Amiata (IRE)
Has gone from strength to strength this year, winning at Naas in April and over 5f here in June before taking his form up another notch when landing a 9-runner handicap at Navan last month by a head. Shaped as if still in form last week and return to a large-field scenario should suit.
Chicago Pope (IRE)
Both wins over 6f at Naas, latterly a 14-runner handicap in May. Good fourth of 22 in strong 3-y-o handicap at York (6f, good to firm, 15/2) in June. Cheekpieces back on and remains unexposed.
Staysound Susie (IRE)
Resumed winning ways when landing a 5f handicap in the mud here in November. Shaped well on her first 2 starts this year prior to taking another heavy-ground sprint over C&D in April. Below form behind Keke at Naas next time but back from a break with yard going well and could be set for a big run.
Red Evolution (IRE)
Useful sprinter who proved better than ever in first-time tongue strap when taking 11-runner handicap at Naas in August by ½-length from Gotta Catch'em All. Only 1 lb higher here and has run well at this course in the past so not dismissed for yard firmly among the winners.
Genesis (IRE)
Dual course winner this year, latest in June. Good efforts when placed here on last 2 starts, making a bold bid from the front when close third of 10 to Bear on The Run on latest. Has been dropped 3 lb but will need to be better than he's ever been to take this from out of the weights.
Sommelier
One-time useful sprinter for Marco Botti and took advantage of a much-reduced mark in this headgear when making all in 20-runner 6.3f event here in June. Heavy defeats on last 3 starts suggests he's gone off the boil, though. Races from 6 lb out of the handicap.
I Bid You Ajou (FR)
Runner-up 4 times this year, including twice in July. Shaped as if still in form behind Dark Ace at Dundalk last time but has plenty on from 7 lb out of the handicap.
Lohoobb
Cemented the positive start made for his new yard when opening his account in 7-runner 7f Gowran handicap in August. Ran poorly off revised mark last time, though, and faces a stiff task from out of the weights.
The Piper's Call (IRE)
Defied an 11-month absence when narrow winner of 6.3f maiden here in June but could only match that form when 4½ lengths fifth of 14 to Midnight Dusk in C&D handicap last time. Stiff task at these weights but should have more to offer.
