Timeform View

BEELZEBUB failed to fire last time but having struck up a good relationship with this apprentice, Tony Carroll's 6-y-o is afforded the vote returned to all-weather. Happier arrives in top form, so she rates as an obvious danger, with Angel Summer and stable-switcher Roy Lane taken to fight out minor honours.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Athena's War traded at 10% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP twice on 3 of its last 5 starts: Master Dandy traded at 25% or less of Betfair SP and 50% or less of Betfair SP 3 times on 4 of its last 5 starts.

Timeform Comments

Happier (IRE)
Notched back-to-back wins at Wolverhampton (classified event) and Ffos Las in recent weeks and only narrowly denied on the hat-trick bid at Lingfield next time. Not disgraced in a better race than she need contest at Ripon (5f) a fortnight ago so respected returned to class 6 company.
Chasing Gold
Quickly dispelled Nottingham reappearance mishap when opening his account at Yarmouth in first-time blinkers. Probably remained in form having broke awkwardly when seventh of 11 at Wolverhampton (6f) recently but work to do from stall 11.
Fort Augustus
4-y-o who made it 2 wins from his last 3 starts in 9-runner event at Southwell back in May. Not in the same form at Lingfield (7f) a fortnight later and hasn't been seen since. Returns to 6f.
Kodicall (IRE)
Bred to be speedy and didn't need to improve to get off the mark in 4-runner maiden at Chepstow (6f, soft) a fortnight ago, having the run of things in a weak affair. Makes handicap/all-weather debut and could kick on now up and running.
Master Dandy (IRE)
Dual winner back in January but having been sold cheaply from Michael Keady, ran one of lesser races when sixth of 8 at Wolverhampton (5f) recently. Now 1 lb below his last winning mark.
Beelzebub (IRE)
Left David Loughnane and having been gambled on, emphatically ended a long losing run in 11-runner event at Windsor in June. Failed to land the odds at Ffos Las a week later and again proved a let-down after a break at former course (6f) last month. Can get back on track.
Athena's War (IRE)
Showed some ability in a handful of runs for Andrew Balding but little encouragement to glean from both starts for new connections last month.
Roy Lane
Little show in his qualifying runs but wasn't seen to best effect making handicap debut when sixth of 8 at Beverley (5f, good to firm) a couple of months ago. Has since left Karl Burke and interesting to see what the market makes of him.
Angel Summer (IRE)
Maiden who produced marginally her best effort yet in first-time tongue strap when second of 9 at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago, seeing her race out better than earlier in the year ridden with restraint. Nudged up 3 lb for that near miss but considered.
Barry The Worm
Landed a Wolverhampton nursery in first-time cheekpieces last November. Hasn't fired in 5 starts since returning from a break, including in a change of headgear last time.
Red Legs
No form in novices/classified events this summer. Makes handicap/all-weather debut.
Voodoo Ray (IRE)
Hasn't won since May 2024 and arrives out of sorts.
