Timeform View

BACK STRAIGHT made a promising start when splitting a pair of Aidan O'Brien's better 3-y-os here 12 months ago and is the obvious call fitted with a tongue tie in the hope all is well. Xirivella could be the danger, ahead of Fleur de Provence.

Timeform Comments

Helen's Blaze (IRE)
Dawn Approach filly. Dam, 8.4f-1½m winner, also won over hurdles. Probably best watched on belated debut.
Senna's Girl (IRE)
Long-standing maiden who is anything but an easy ride. One of her better efforts when beaten a length in Gowran handicap 3 months ago but far from sure to back that up.
Back Straight
Sales price rose to 80,000 gns last year and this Sea The Moon colt was second in a barrier trial and again in a 1m maiden here (split a good Ballydoyle pair) last summer. Tongue tie fitted for return and should improve if all is well. Obvious claims under Colin Keane.
Block Capitals (IRE)
€5,000 foal, €38,000 yearling, Toronado gelding. Half-brother to 1¼m-1½m winner La Yomoguiness and 12.4f winner Caniar de Luxe. Dam winner up to 8.6f (2-y-o 7f winner).
Forest Fantasy (IRE)
Waldgeist gelding. Half-brother to 7f-8.6f winner King of The Dance. Dam, 6f-7f winner, half-sister to smart 1½m-21.6f winner Who Dares Wins.
Matties Point (IRE)
Well held in Dundalk/Leopardstown maidens.
One Cool County (IRE)
Well beaten in maidens.
Port Arthur (IRE)
Fair sort but not so good upped to 1m at Leopardstown last month and tricky to fancy over this even longer trip.
Saliba (IRE)
Promising enough start at Gowran and Naas but failed to take a step forward at Galway last month and needs to improve for this longer distance.
Swing Street
Little sign of ability in maidens.
Vico Road (IRE)
€6,000 Elzaam half-brother to sprint winner Dandy Magic. Offered something to work on in 21-runner 1¼m Navan maiden recently and should improve.
Fleur De Provence (IRE)
Encouraging efforts when runner-up in 1m maidens at Naas and Gowran in the spring but disappointing upped to 1¼m at Leopardstown when last seen in June, making the running but capitulating badly. Cheekpieces go on back from a break.
Sunburn (IRE)
€18,000 yearling, Australia filly. Dam 2-y-o 7f winner.
Xirivella (IRE)
Has stepped forward from her debut with good efforts in third in Naas and Navan maidens, not knocked about last time. One to consider upped in trip.
Pattyandselma (IRE)
Kuroshio filly out of an unraced half-sister to useful 6f winner Sir Thomas Gresham. 2501 and well held in Navan maiden on debut a fortnight ago. RESERVE.
Ballysax Boo
300/1 and well held in 1m Gowran maiden on debut 7 weeks ago. Plenty of stamina in her pedigree and probably one for later on. RESERVE.
Brigerbad (IRE)
Well beaten in maidens. Upped markedly in trip. RESERVE.
