SPIRITOFTHEDAWN clearly has something in hand of her basement mark judged on her fine effort at Navan on her handicap debut and won't be far away again if building on that performance. Rampage is a big danger after his Gowran near-miss, with Lohengrin another to consider after his narrow defeat at Laytown.

Timeform Comments

Ohmali (IRE)
Successful at Gowran this time last year. Form patchy this season but claims on his Leopardstown efforts (better than bare result in race that worked out last month).
Signor Ferrari (IRE)
A two-time scorer at Dundalk early in 2025. Missed 13 months but has returned with a couple of good efforts this summer. Wouldn't rule out down 3 lb.
Rockbury Lad
Won a division of this handicap in 2024 but just been going through the motions of late and tricky to fancy in a change of headgear for all he's on a career-low mark.
Patrick Street
Back to winning ways when narrowly taking 12-runner minor event at Ayr (1¼m, good, 11/2) last month, holding on gamely. Found life tougher under a penalty in Hamilton handicap next time but this is a bit easier and he was third in a division of this last season.
Lohengrin
Sole win came at Laytown and he went close back there last week. Back in form and one to consider with longer trip fine.
Pure Granite (IRE)
Ran well in tongue tie (removed now) in Dundalk handicap off 5 lb higher when last seen 10 months ago. Still lightly raced and shouldn't be overlooked.
Chloe's Boy (IRE)
Lightly-raced maiden who shaped with a bit more encouragement at Navan last time. Another 3 lb drop will help his cause and he's not one to dismiss out of hand.
The Monday Club
Little impact in his 3 starts (ran in a deep Leopardstown maiden last time) but goes handicapping off a low base.
Annacroft (IRE)
Little impact in maidens/claimer but low-grade handicaps will be more her bag now.
Spiritofthedawn (IRE)
Left her efforts in maidens well behind upped in trip on handicap debut after 4 months off when second at Navan (1m, 40/1) a fortnight ago, no extra only late on. Obvious chance if building on that.
Churchill Gale (IRE)
Winless for Tom McCourt and shaped as if amiss back from 10 months off for new yard at Navan recently.
Rampage (IRE)
A while without a win but turned in his best effort of the season when going close at Gowran a fortnight ago, caught wide throughout from a wide draw and headed close home. Big player with a repeat.
Duchess Anne (IRE)
Not so good behind Spiritofthedawn at Navan last time but claims on her previous efforts at Naas and Gowran and is still quite lightly raced.
Tullyesker (IRE)
Little form in maidens/handicaps. New headgear tried.
Arizona Star (IRE)
Modest maiden not discredited in 1¼m Navan handicap recently but needs a bit more if she's to open her account. RESERVE.
Curious Jane (IRE)
Modest maiden looking pretty exposed by now and it's hard to see her making a serious impact. RESERVE.
Idomything (IRE)
Won at Bellewstown last autumn but hasn't fired this season. RESERVE.
