Timeform View

JAVELOT justified his position at the head of the betting at Wolverhampton 4 weeks ago and with that form looking better now than it did at the time, it's easy to construct a strong case for him from a handicapping perspective. Asgar is ready for 7f and is a threat, while a gelding operation may help Indian Land step forward.

Timeform Cash Out Hints

Javelot traded at a high of 3.60 and Betfair SP of 2.07 when winning last time, a race in which it led.

Timeform Comments

Asgar (IRE)
Left his Newbury debut behind when fourth of 6 at Goodwood (6f, soft) in June. Off 3 months after and subsequent mid-field effort at Kempton suggests he's ready for 7f. Gets that for this nursery debut.
Agitator
Cracksman colt who left debut well behind to open his account in 12-runner maiden at Windsor (6f) in May, responding well. Ran poorly in face of a stiff task in Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot and also no impact with cheekpieces on switched to a nursery/7f at Goodwood. Gelded since and this is easier.
Rocket Boots
Stepped up on debut when second of 6 in novice at Doncaster in May and similar form in first-time cheekpieces when fourth of 6 in novice at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) less than a fortnight later. Freshened up ahead of nursery debut in a warm race at Goodwood and he wasn't up to it. Gelded after.
Regal Tiger
Has progressed with each start so far, making a quick switch to nurseries when ½-length second of 6 at Windsor (6f) in July. The winner that day scored next time so he's not dismissed lightly with prospect of more to come up in trip.
Javelot
Promising debut over C&D last month and heavily backed, he built on that when successful at Wolverhampton 4 weeks ago. That race has worked out well so he could be well treated here.
King Of Montenegro (IRE)
Produced best effort yet when second of 12 in maiden at Windsor (6f) in May, worn down only late on. Just a fair fourth of 5 on nursery debut at Lingfield in July (7f) but yard going better now and he's also been gelded.
Indian Land
Left debut form well behind when winning 11-runner novice at Wolverhampton (6f) in May, staying on to lead late. 7f was expected to suit and while he was disappointing at Kempton, he's in the right hands and a gelding operation may also help his cause.
Green Titan
Posted good second at Salisbury (heavy) in June and back to that sort of form (gelded) when fourth of 10 in nursery at Wolverhampton (6f). That race didn't really work out and fitted with cheekpieces, he was brushed aside on first try over 7f 12 days ago.
Kigali
Has gone the wrong way following a debut which offered some encouragement but certainly wouldn't be the first from this yard to transform in a nursery. Up in distance and market check advised.
Lilywhite Hart
Offered something to work on in 6f maidens, fifth of 10 here last month. Allotted a stiff mark, as showcased by fact she ran right up to form when sixth at Newbury upped to 7f.
Mandolin Rain (IRE)
Fourth both starts last month at up to 1m but clearly needs to raise her game on this quick switch to handicaps.
